Blue Essence uses if I own all champions?

So Ive been playing this game since the Beta and own every champion...I found out the hard way today that you are still able to get champions in the chests which is asinine, but a topic for another day. I noticed when I disenchanted the champion, it didnt break down into the useful orange essences that help me get free skins, it breaks down into blue essence, but the only thing I have seen that I can use blue essence on is other champions. Since fragments for new champions wont drop until after they're already released (and, even then, the chances are WELL under 1% OF the whatever x% it already is for a champion fragment to drop from a chest in the first place...Ive only seen 1 champion in 8 chests) then it seems kind of a wasted material.

Tl;Dr = what, if any, other use is there for blue essence that I may have missed OR is Rit0 going to give people who have devoted potentially hundreds of dollars / thousands of hours playing an own all champions some sort of special?

Blue post on this would be amazing, instead of speculations from the crowd, but all input is welcome.
