Has anybody else noticed that Riot has just slowly phased in cooldown reduction into basically every item? I remember back in the days of like season 3 season 4 where I would have to choose if I wanted cooldown reduction, or health, or armor. Now it seems like every single item in the game has at least 10% CDR added on to it. It is honestly frustrating when the core build for most AD assassins puts you over the CDR cap after just 3 items. Or basically any item other than locket you build on support, has CDR on it. CDR used to be where you had to give something up in order to get it. You had to take a less efficient tank item if you wanted the extra cdr, or something similar. Nowadays it is more of a decision between which tank cdr item you are going to get.

Overall, this has pushed us to a point where if everybody has 40% cdr, does anybody really have 40% cdr?? Getting CDR used to be a decision that you consciously made. You took CDR over something else. And the game has gotten to a point where you're now taking one cdr item over the other, and for every role outside ADC's like tristana, people have a shared 40% cooldown reduction. It just feels shitty in my opinion and I don't think it is good balance to have a stat so widely represented among the items available in the game.
