Lord Van Damms Pillager change, in regards to dominion.

Hello all, I noticed in the Patch 5.11 Notes, that there is a change happening to item 3104 , causing it to inherit an enhanced version of the item 3122 bleed, while losing the IE style passive, critical attacks now deal 250% instead of 200%. The stated reason the change will occur is as follows:

"We don’t have anything against bringing Infinity Edge’s crit damage multiplier to other maps, but it was kind of random to shoehorn it in at the expense of Wicked Hatchet’s unique identity."

The confusing thing here is, this new passive completely overshadows item 3185, which possesses a 90% bonus ad value bleed. Both item 3104 and item 3185 build out of item 3122, so I am confused as to how item 3122 would be losing its unique identity, since there is a perfectly valid item already building out of it that continues the unique identity of item 3122. applying this change to item 3104 will only make item 3185 the inferior choice for everything but the stealth mist and nearby trap detection, which are extremely niche effects.

The removal of an IE style passive from dominion will also handicap crit based ADCs, who in my limited experience suffer from the lack of burst, and fall flat against the burst assassins as well as tanky bruisers.

Since item 3185 already represents the unique identity of item 3122 passive, a build path change for item 3104 is all that is required. Honestly, I wouldnt even bother with that, since there are a few unique passives we see that have two build paths, where one build path completely drops said passive. with item 3185, the item 3122 legacy is retained.

TL;DR item 3104 losing IE passive, gains item 3122 passive, ends up overshadowing item 3185 due to stronger passive, changed because item 3122 passive is a unique identity they didnt want to lose. (despite item 3185 having said passive)

Thanks for your time :)
