Banning your pick.

Let's assume I have played 300 ranked games this season and my most played champion is let's say Jinx. I have 200 games on her, and I have won 60 and lost 140. That's a 30% win rate.

Now, while in champ select, I pre-select Jinx and someone bans it. When I ask why they banned my pick, they reply "you only have 30% winrate on it, so if you pick it, we are probably gonna lose."

COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED.

When someone has played so many games with a champion, yet they still have such a low win rate, it's safe to assume that their pick doesn't work. They are either bad at it, or they don't perform well enough to grant them any wins. Maybe the champion just doesn't do a lot they way it's being played by the player, resulting in such a low win rate. That's why any player who cares about climbing has EVERY RIGHT to ban that champion and is justified to do so by logic. Please, stop arguing about how it's immature, or it's griefing and what not. Technically, if you have played SO MANY GAMES on a champion and HAVE LOST MOST OF THEM, you are technically inting after a point. Technically, you are handicapping your team by giving them lower chances to win.

Next time someone bans your champ that you are performing bad with, take the time to realize why and don't ask for reports.

So this is how you handle this withOUT being toxic and reportable.

I look up our ADC and see his Pick (who I wait until he actually PICKS the champ) is 30% win rate over X games that I see as a sign he sucks.

I say sorry going to Dodge this game.

Dodge

Go play Facebook for 5m

Que for a game that has a MUCH better chance of not losing.

Banning someone Pick is 99% chance to Tilt that person AND that lowers YOUR win chances by a TON.

Dodging is not Toxic and does not lower your MMR

Well, yeah, dodging is generally the best idea, but maybe he has a good win rate on some other champion he rarely plays, he can pick that. I for sure won't let him play his 30% win rate champion though.

It's possible they were trying to force someone else to dodge by banning the champion to avoid the timer (and LP penalty).

Worst-case scenario for them is that they have to dodge anyways.

your argument is ridiculous. Someone had a 30% win rate eh? and what was their real amount of games played? 3?

Get over youself, if you ban peoples preselected champs you deserve a temporary suspention, excepy for in rare circumstances where its a must ban champ and you cant FP it. Kaisa for example.

or you know your support and they want to pick Kalista , and they ban your only support champ u have that you are willing to risk being at their mercy with.

if u ban Blitzcrank there is zero way in hell i am letting you pick Kalista . i have already had enough traumatic experiences with that...

I clearly said that the person has played 200 games.

actually your logic is right.

and i assume i should state you are right.

but honestly. objectively.

if u have the most played champ with 30% WR, i understand the players that blames bad teammates where they come from. i mean, cant u play more draft to improve your jinx skill?

there, just to talk..

ban their 30% WR champ for them to bust out their 20% WR champ instead(while also now tilted because their teammate banned their pick) Genius

Another way to deal with this is to suggest something else. If they hovered Swain but have a 36% winrate on him, but you notice they have a 58% winrate in 80 Vel'Koz games, say something like "hey, don't you think an artillery mage would go well with our comp?" If they still don't change and you don't wanna play with that, then dodge away. But banning as the first option is just obnoxious.

They would be justified if they can see your winrate based on 200 games. But they can't. They go to some idiot site like op.gg that gives winrates based on 6 games, which is completely useless. But they're ignorant of statistics, so they think because your win rate is 33% based on the last 9 games that you must suck at the champion.
