About 2019 Ranked.

So I've read all the Dev Blogs about season 9 ranked. And as far as I'm concerned, I've only come to think about it as good changes. So I went into to comment section, and what do I see? Literally all people, except for a few, crying about the changes.

Main Points about their hatred for the next season is: I don't want to get ranked into 5 roles.

Now, I don't really get it. Where did Riot say that you have to get ranked into 5 roles? Why not just your main roles, to see on which you're the best at? If you know that you're not the best toplaner, than you don't have to play it. And if you get autofilled? You get even more LP than usual or lose less.

Now someone explain to me. Why is this such a bad change? I really don't get it.

The thing is, this is going to make ranked more of a hassle for higher elo players, while making it easier for us lower elo players to rank up.

I'm all for the changes, but I can totally see why others are upset with them.

I mean if you want katarina supports because they got autofilled and there's less punishment for doing it due to "more care free role experimentation with less loss" then sure.

Don't post on player behavior when you see it, you've asked for this.

I'm positive i'm just going to play elise in every single position i end up in, currently i'll pick something different but eh, what do i lose.. 5 LP? I care less what I play then.

It punishes players that are good at multiple things.

I play roughly the same amount of mid/top, currently I would get 20 lp for my rank in both roles and whenever I manage to win as autofill. With these changes I would effectively 20 lp in one lane and 2 lp per win in the other and whenever I'm autofilled. These changed will mean that riot will force you to play a game with no incentive to win where everyone else want to win, which is a great way to increase trolling in ranked.

Another point is that the system can be abused. Let's say a player is D1 mid but gold jungle, gets autofilled into a gold game, then asks his midlane to swap. Then you've got a D1 playing his main vs golds. I doubt you would like to lose cause enemy team lucked out and got a D1 anymore than you would want to lose because of a bad autofill.

If some1 gets autofilled, what's stopping them from not trying to win? For example, if I'm mid/top lane main, and I get autofilled support, is there any reason for me to tryhard, knowing that I will lose less LP than I would lose from the 2nd dodge?
