I'm full tilt! (bronze in gold queue)

Why am I always in gold ranked queue. I'm obviously not good enough you made me bronze 1 after positioning. Yet every game all i here is people complaining i'm bronze.

I either want a rank worthy of my positioning or to be placed with people my rank. So tired of getting complaints EVERY game about it........

EDIT- To be clear, I queue as support then fill. I am consistantly getting put with people who are gold that love to complain about me being bronze. I do not have a good enough play record to be deserving of gold queue.

This post isn't to argue over how the queue is suppose to work, I'm saying this is how it is working and would REALLY like some devs to comment or correct.

I hear you 100%! they always complain ughhh I have to play with Bronze trash... Well who says we want to play the AssholeGolds! I mean come its not fun for us either.

Well if you're getting queued with golds either you're way better than your rank displays, or they're way worse than they should be in gold rank. That's what I always thought about when I was getting golds and occasionally platinums in my bronze games last season. I still think there shouldn't be a named rank and your "rank" should simply be your MMR number, or your named rank should be purely based off your MMR, but that's just me.

I believe that because of the low volume of support mains... that I'm often getting used to fill in higher ranked teams.

my top rank has been s1, and i achieved it last season and season 3. I have yet to break the gold barrier which is my only really goal. want me some champ skins!

stop putting in fill just to get quicker games, if it means getting more evenly match teams, then wait that min or two longer.

season 6 fill = support.

He's not filling, he's a support main so he believes they're using him playing support to fill in higher ranked games.

sry for my misunderstanding, but the guy says "that im often getting used to fill in higher ranked ranked", so i read that has putting in fill and not support. putting either one will most likely get you support, but not putting either makes sure you don't get support. sry for using logic

EDIT: plus i never see him actually saying or right out implying that hes a support main.

That's just the problem though, who you get matched up with is purely based on your MMR. That's why I think the "Bronze, silver, gold, etc tiers are completely asinine.

I know that is how it should be. But what happens to when there are less then 1/10 the gold players queueing as support? the golds do nothing? or does it reach outside the MMR? I believe it is raching down and pulling support mains into higher ranked queues, thus the complaint

No it activates Auto-fill in that bracket of MMR and people are forced into random roles, which in my opinion is worse than if it expanded the bracket to find people.

The placement ranking is just a general placement that has pretty little effect on ranking. For example I got placed Bronze 1, Hit my promos once, failed them, back to the same ranking. Then about a month? ago I decided to actually try playing some ranked. Went from Bronze 1 to Silver 3 in two days. Now I am back down to about a 50% win rate.

If you are being placed with them then you are a fairly similar skill level as them. They are just being idiots. Almost my entire ranked time i have been matched with people of a higher ranking than me, usually Silver I to Gold 3. That just means that the game has decided that I play on that level.

Your placements are decided on several factor's but most of it is Wins and whether you've been in ranked before. So i'v never been in ranked and i'm 2 W 2 L in my placements, if i keep going with a 50/50 win ratio like that, chances are i'll be placed in bronze. If i win the rest of my Placements then chances are i'll be in silver, and if i won them all it'll place me in Gold V(the highest you can be placed in without being in a league before)

The game will always match you with players of similar skill level, rank does not actually mean anything. Just means that either they're really bad or you're really good. You can also report them for complaining you're bronze.

It's just supposed to be a way to see your approximate skill since Riot doesn't want to release their data on actual MMR.

I had a similar issue back when I did my placements. Finished last season at Bronze 2, went 2-8 in placements, got placed Bronze 4. A few games later I ragequit League because I got shat on every game by lane opponents who were at least a full tier higher than me, if not more.

Like, I wasn't mad about being placed in Bronze 4. I was mad about being a Bronze 4 in Silver 1-2 games and pretty much always the sole reason the team lost.

Welcome to my life; when I was in gold they kept throwing me in Diamond Que because I only play around 2 am; and lower playerbases. Needless to say ridiculously one sided.
