Irelia Jungle.

I need someone's opinion on this. As the title says it's about Irelia jungle. I don't play it often but when I do I get a surprising amount of slack for it. For example, I was in a ranked game and I was last pick so I was forced to jungle. So I was like okay, I'm just gonna lock in Irelia. But our mid laner had started saying gg in champ select. When we get into game he's asking why would you pick Irelia and the comment that stood out most to me was "People don't get anywhere with picks like Irelia jungle"

So my question is, what is this secret about Irelia jungle because when I ask people they say just only top. Her ganks aren't bad, I can come in with my dash and just stun because I'm weakened from jungle creeps. I don't find her clears to be slow at all. So what is it? People just bashing something because it's slightly off meta? Or am I actually not seeing the big picture.

The problem with her jungle is that you have to be low to get the stun off, and in general, you don't want to gank when you're too low on health. She CAN jungle, but what does she do in the jungle that Xin, Amumu, Sejuani, Nunu, Vi or other, better junglers do? Not only that, but she really starts to shine once she gets Triforce, and your jungle item is going to delay getting that.

She has a really slow start in the jungle. Whenever I see an Irelia jungle I'll wait for her at her red and kill her.

I know she has a slow start cause I played her jungle once. It was awful.
