Why do people never surrender?

I'm not talking about close games or anything, I mean games where your team is 2-35 in kills, 3 inhibs down without a tower or dragon taken. Why do they always wait for the nexus to blow? I get that there have been games where it's possible to come back, but the chance of that happening is like 0.5% in a game. I seriously don't understand why they always push the games to 40 mins instead of finishing it in 20 with the same outcome.

i see this question ALL THE TIME. i usually just don't respond since.... i suspect, they just wouldn't understand anyway.

"why do people give up so easily?" is a better question. not that it matters to me since i don't.

It's more about having a certain balance. some people give up at the slightest inconvenience, while others stubbornly refuse to surrender even if fizz has 20 kills at 20 minutes and is gibbing the entire team solo.

I can see where the OP is saying but also what you are saying.

Like I have been in several games where say the enemy Assassin is like 30/0 and steamrolling us but we all focus the sin dead and walaa the enemy cant fight since they have no gold and we end up winning.

But I also have seen the games where every enemy player has 10+ kills including the support and people don't surrender.

I just see it as a balance of how the game is playing, if its a close game or only one person is carrying, you can still turn it around, but if every one of the enemy team is OP while no one on your team can fight them I surrender or afk farm. Those games usually end quick anyways so me just sitting and killing minions in base or in lane as its a 4v5 won't change the outcome if I was there anyways.

If it's really late game (like 60+ minutes), kills don't really matter anymore. Everyone is nearing full build, so gold advantage is meaningless. At that point it's how they play that matters. Also, if this happened mid game and if you have bunch of stalling champions you can hold on until you reach said late game then start fighting again.

But what you described sound like why surrender system exists. Can't help you in that case then.

My question is: why do people surrender EACH SINGLE FOKEN ONE of my games, be it my side or the opposite? Why waste game time? Not everybody can necessarily start a new game afterwards.

Drives me nuts when I've budgeted the time for the one 35-45 minute game I can fit in during my lunch break and a team surrenders at 20 (or only a few minutes after that). Leaves me in a "Well gee, what to do now?" state.

I usually dont surrender because i play mostly blind pick/aram and there are high chances for someone on the other team to disconnect/leave indefinitely which opens up for a come back

OP rhetorical question :)

If we have 3 inhibs down, usually that that point I just say no because I'd rather the enemy team just finish it.

And if the enemy team decides to BM and spawn kill like scumbags, fuck em, I'm not leaving spawn.
