uncarriable silver 5

haribel3··4 votes·1,523 views

Lots of people saying there's no elo hell or whatever, if you aren't good you belong where you are. I always believed those but after all these consecutive losses in silver 5 I start to doubt now. I feel like in order for me to win I need to HARD CARRY every game. Like totally stomp every lane by myself, which is impossible to do every single game. I mean I'm not a diamond player stuck in silver, but I definitely stomp my lane every single game along with lots of first blood. I play top so I try to roam mid to help whenever the wave is pushed, but there's just so much I can do. I feel like every game I am matched with an opposing team whose skill level is far superior to any of my teammates except me. I know people would blame me for attributing my own defeat to my teammates, but seriously I've averaged 12.7 kills 6.6 deaths 6.6 assists in the past 29 games, and still can't even win half of those. I lose with 11/3, 17/6 records, and im not ks at all. I do everything in the best interest of the team, like sacrificing myself to tank and get a tower, engaging as a squishy (ends up dying a lot) because everyone in my team is scared and no one engages if I don't. In my recent memory I've only won games where I went 29/5, 14/0. Games where I completely stomped every lane before 20 min. But i can't do this every single game, and whenever i don't stomp and try helping all over the map by sacrificing my own tower i get a team record of 8/20 by 15mins, because of a 0/4 adc, 0/5 support, and a jungler who doesn't gank. I often feel like as a laner I gank more than my jungler does. My death increased a lot recently because I'm so fking frustrated about this game, that I'm searching for every opportunity to HARD CARRY and STOMP regardless the risk. Because this has been the case that if I don't fking stomp, I lose. Even in winning games I often have a worse team score than the opposing team. Is there really elo hell? Should I really duo to climb the ladder? I had a 70% normal winrate before, now it's a despicable 35% in ranked. fml.

As I do with all these posts.... To the stat-site!

Oh look, an average of three wards bought total per game, only plays Fiora, average of 6 deaths per game, negative winrate Silver V 0 LP.

Here's your problem: you don't belong in silver V.

You belong in bronze, and you can't see your improvement because you can't drop leagues. I'm sorry such a broken system is holding you back from that.

I wanted to curse out when I first read your post, but after I browsed your recent posts and saw that they are all nothing but bitterly vicious sarcasms my anger vanquished. p.s. you pretend to be scientific but you really are not. Randomly taking some numbers from a statistical base without any valid arguments backed up by statistical evidence demonstrated nothing but your ignorance.

Actually I was curious as to how many of my posts were bitterly vicious sarcasms when you mentioned it so I checked.

Let's see, most recent comments are:

-Recommending someone just watch Star Wars Episode 3 instead of all the prequels, providing a quick Story So Far so they don't have to watch Phantom Menace and Clone Attack. Pretty non sarcastic

-Post/comment about Sejuani getting a .4 base HP buff on PBE. Sarcastic yes, vicious? I was just laughing about why they bothered.

-Comment about going five man double smite to instantly take a level 2-3 dragon if the new smite charge mechanic gets through PBE. Dead serious, 10 smites would even instantly kill baron.

-Comment being sarcastic about the red pill. Freely admit the vicious sarcasm there, but that's kind of like accusing someone of being a jerk to racists and nazis, red pillers are abusive internet assholes.

TBH bud, I was precisely where you were exactly a year ago in Silver V 0LP. Got lucky on placements and did not belong at that Elo so I was getting +5 LP for win and -30 for loss. In short, I was in bronze according to the MMR system.

To get out I discovered that from Jungle and Support I could prevent 1 or more teammates from feeding and my winrate spiked dramatically. Now I've mastered the art of getting to Gold V very quickly then stopping immediately because I have more fun in normals but I just want the gold rewards.

Couple tips:

-TONS of people in low Elo are Top/Mid mains who suck at ADC/Supp/Jungle. Playing one of the latter prevents 1/5th of the potential suck.

-Playing a supportive role allows you to either snowball someone who's good or keep someone who's awful from feeding by camping and peeling for them.

-Playing in the roles where you can always roll the enemy teams worst champs means they're more likely to rage and your teams morale is more likely to be high. Hence the jungle/Support picks because jungle can gank anyone and support/ADC is statistically the roughest role for people in silver and bronze.

Based on this, I played Rammus (the soloQ god), and Thresh and got to gold in roughly 100ish games.

i don't bother rechecking your posts its pointless. But something u got it wrong here: I didn't get lucky at all in my placement. I got 3 afkers and non-stop feeders in my provisional games that I only won 3 of 10. Still ended up in silver 5 due to my strong normal performance though. Also I did had 2 chances of promo series to advance to silver 4 after some winning streaks that I had, when I had an actually normal team who doesn't feed or even better a team with multiple carry. I failed those 2 series because I didn't play well, so Im fine with it. What I'm not fine with is that fact that I'm now constantly having feeders in my team while the enemy team has none, and that I am having 6 game losing streaks while having around 3 kda and above 65% kill participation.

And let me guess, you're the most pleasant person ever to be around in game when you start behind and your attitude has nothing to do with the losses?

I told you how I got to gold. Dunno how you plan to do it, but that's how I did it. Averaging 15-20 assists a game as jungle and supp.

yea i think the best way to climb out of ur elo is duo queue my solo queue win rate is about 50% this is my duo queue win rate http://puu.sh/dfnWe.png on a side note, make sure one of you jungles. always. best way to carry.

AetherKingdom1 votes

can confirm, Duo queue is freelo unlike what most people say. Me and my diamond friend used to dick around hella hard in ranked, but we knew exactly how each other played so we had a 75% win rate over 20 games.

If I'm bronze how'd I beat you with a Leona. In aram. While you used gnar.

Nah, you lost at your best. To a Leona. As Gnar. As Gnar. If you had any sort of skill or reaction time you'd be able to jump when you know my E would hit you. Plus I don't even have runes/masteries. As Gnar.

You also had runes while I didn't. You also didn't utilize mega gnar. You also can dodge a simple skillshot.

this is fantastic man. Ill try duo q I guess. It's true that on the few times I duoed everything seemed so much smoother and I ended up mostly in wins, even though my duo partners isn't even that good.

yeah it's true. but I used to play fiora which is a hyper carry in low elo. (same as yi, kat, etc.) So stomping lane and roam isn't my problem, it's just I always get a feeding team with no other carry than me...

More assists needed yo. Probably you're not contributing enough in teamfights.

Is there really elo hell?

Everyone eventually reaches their true elo. It just might take longer for some people who start out unlucky.

If you've played 100 ranked games, it's likely (95% confidence) that you're close to where you're supposed to be.

haribel31 votes

I don't think this is the problem since on op.gg my kill contribution is usually above 60%. It's just that our whole team usually cannot get more than 20 kills lol.

You're not going to win many silver games with 20 team kills.

Think of it this way -- kills are how you get fed. Assists are how you win. Even a really focused killer character like say Vayne will average twice as many assists as you do in won games.

My main advice here is to get good at either making picks or forcing good teamfights. Silver games are mostly won by exploiting huge positioning errors. Catch someone out, take a tower, repeat until nexus.

haribel31 votes

yeah maybe you're right, I may soaked too much kill from my teammates. Ill try going in ult then. But in my past experience I often ends up dying with my team not able to finish them off, sometimes even get aced with all enemies at half hp. this is usually how the enemy team fights us btw, throw every cc they have on me and focus me to death, then chasing after my collapsing team. ;(

haribel31 votes

I hope so, im at around 70 games now, I hope the next 30 will bring me higher. thanks.

I don't know why Scotty is getting downvoted, because he's absolutely right. If you cannot consistently win in whatever elo you're in, you either belong there or you belong in a lower elo. The only solution is to get better.

Every time I lose a game and I'm inclined to blame my team, I ask myself: "Would a challenger level player have lost the game?"

Most of the time the answer is "probably not."

You won't win every single game, but if you truly are better than the elo you're playing at then you will eventually rise.

And for the record, dumb stuff never stops in solo queue. It literally never stops, no matter how high you go.

Mikal Pikal1 votes

You are in the same elo as your team mates. Your team mates are the same skill range as you. In fact, if you are losing more than winning you are actually less skilled than your team mates and should be lower. Why is it that the other team can win with shitty players but you, who claim to be better than the other 9, cannot win?

If you are the best in the game and everyone else is randomly assigned then you should win more than lose. If you lose more than win you are the weak link since you are the only common denominator between games. You are like the poker play that complains they are always unlucky when in reality they are just not as good as they think.

Sorry to say it, and it may come off as harsh, but admitting this is the first step to improving and getting higher rank, which I assume is your goal.

Don't worry because I know I suck too (in silver myself and had to frickin' work for it from bronze 5)
