Ekko E - Q Animation Cancel!

I've noticed that Ekko can no longer use his E - Q animation cancel, and was wondering if this was intended or not as it wasn't stated in the patch notes. I feel like this is fairly important for him especially in the mid lane, as it allows him to trade more effectively. Anyways I love Ekko and and was just wondering about this!

This is what I believe he is referring to, no credit to myself for the video.

Lol I just heard of this recently and am coming out of a custom game where I miserably failed trying to do that. Some confirmation if I simply suck balls / do it wrong or if this actually was taken out of the game would be neat
