Hi! Before rework I played some Gangplank from time to time, not because I wanted to play a strong champ (I knew he wasn't by far the strongest in LoL), I did it because he was so damn fun to make some good money with q and avarice blade and see that glorious crits. The thing is I haven't played GP since then, and the day I decided to give it a shot, I found he died! :(
So what can you tell me summoners, is Gangplank still fun to play?
If you liked bankplank you'll like new Gangplank, if you Q his barrels you'll get the Q bonus gold on everything killed by the explosion. It's really good feeling blowing up like 6 minions with one Q and getting like 48 bonus gold, even more if you have your avarice blade. And the barrels explosion can crit!

If you picked him purely because you liked to farm, then you'll like him even more for the reasons Veraska pointed out.
I personally found him to be far more enjoyable to play all around, especially as a bruiser.
