Selective Range Indicators?

I prefer to smartcast with range indicators on most champions just so I can comfortably know the range of certain abilities. However, range indicators cause a spell to take half a second longer to cast since you also need to release the button upon pressing it in order for it to cast. Since I don't need range indicators for every spell on every champion, I was wondering if it was possible to make range indicators selective for each spell? That way I don't need to wait longer to cast a spell with a range that I'm already comfortable with. What do you guys think?
