Pyke Bot Lane Synergy Theories

Champion Reveal: Pyke, the Bloodharbor Ripper

I would like to know what ADCs you think that Pyke will synergize well with. (which skill(s), kit in general, playstyle, interactions or whatnot would work well with him in the bot lane) Please don't go off topic too much or hate and/or go off on a rant at someone else's post for thinking it's stupid or whatever. I would really like your opinions and thoughts on this. ALL ideas are good and welcome! So theorycraft away! Summoners!

Here are some more conventional Picks that Pyke could Pair well with:

Draven Is the first pick that comes to mind, with how much damage and cc Pyke bring coupled with how much damage Draven can do early and later on, the two are going to be a devastating duo to have to deal with, additionally, they could snowball very hard with Draven's passive and Pyke's ultimate.

Kalista Also comes to mind, She could throw Pyke into the middle of a fight, where he could easily tear up enemies with his E and R, additionally, Kalista now suffers from a shorter range compared to other adc's but Pyke can pull people closer to make this less of an issue.

Jhin This could work due to how much burst damage the two could do, the way I see it is Jhin preps a 4th shot, Pyke stuns an enemy, Jhin roots them and fires a grenade along with the 4th shot, if this take them low enough, Pyke could go in for the execute and infuse them off.

Now for a few.....less conventional pairs.

Mordekaiser Morde Lacks range, being a melee Adc is rough, But Pyke can fix this, With Mord's W and Pyke stun and pull, the two can deal heavy damage to whoever they can get close to, perhaps bursting people with little to no time to react.

Blitzcrank This would be wired, but it could work, the amount of sheer Cc these two bring are scary, plus a double hook should scare anyone, but now, Pyke bring massive amounts of Burst and engage that, when coupled with an ap blitz, could destroy any botlane.

Urgot Oh boy, this is fun. Both of them have Executes, so if one misses theirs, the other can make up for it, Also the combo's with Urgot's E and Pyke's Q can force any adc so far out of position that they might not be able to recover.

I think Pyke might synergize well with Lucian and/or Vayne - both are aggressive Marksmen who can capitalize on the openings Pyke makes - and who can potentially keep up with the Bloodharbor Ripper's aggressive playstyle.

Vayne in particular I think might synergize well with Pyke, since he can lure enemies closer to walls (or even yank them into harms way) allowing for a Condemn + Phantom Undertow combo for hard lockdown. Not to mention, with Final Hour and Ghostwater Dive, Vayne and Pyke can cause a serious amount of disarray for the enemy team.

With that in mind, I suppose Pyke would also probably work particularly well with Twitch, since Ghostwater Dive and Ambush are very similar - no one will know where the attack is coming from, making it extremely difficult to survive when they do decide to leave the shadows.

I think he would synergize great with draven cause passives, so no matter who gets the kill, draven gets a crapton of gold.

Pyke is a super aggressive support, so naturally, ADCs who can fight at the start of the game would be the obvious choice.

So a few in my personal prediction: Draven Tristana Jhin and maybe Ezreal (haven't seen him played in a while.

Oh, and Twitch for when you and him want to gank mid like the assholes you two are.

One of the reasons traditional ADC/Support Mage duos formed in the first place was damage type diversification.

Meaning with a support doing a lot more physical damage than is usual for the position, this is a great opportunity to bring mages that could use additional farm/kill pressure to scale! Anyone with decent waveclear and a lot of follow up lockdown could work, like Cassiopeia, Ziggs, Veigar, Xerath, Lux...

No idea if it'll be enough to make people more open to attempting different duos down there, but you can tell they're really trying to give us more options in the botlane. Pyke is probably just one small part of that initiative, wouldn't be surprised if we also saw an AP carry with abilities that suggested they go in a duo lane later this year.

I don't know if this is just me, but Brand seems like he would be an amazing duo with Pyke Pyke as their abilities can compliment each other nicely (Brand's W and Pyke's Q/E).

All I know if you don’t know how to roam as a support in the laning phase you shouldn’t main this champ.
