Pumpedhero9 votesI mean you only really lose to duo abusers if you're bad in your rank.. And even then, duo abusing isn't really much of a issue and doesnt do much besides forcing u to play safe for 5min.. specially if its the jungle.. just setup wards its not hard.

Last game i was urgot vs garen and i ware fine till shaco begin to rekt me several times. No way i can deal with that when my jungle go to gang when im dead and cant even do anything vs garen.
hope you understand my problem when your top and yes your low rank and your not that good but you sstil lcan win your lane and your jg is trash but other jg is premade with your enemy your fked as fk...

Any good Eve, Twitch, Rengar knows how to avoid the typical red ward placements. And in Rengar's case he's fast enough and with a high enough jump range it won't matter. Less so for Twitch, but still there.

don't bother dude, most of these people don't even pay attention to challengers and masters getting gimped by duo abuse so the only conclusion is that they themselves are duo abusers and they'll excuse it by saying they want to boost their friends, once more devaluing the ranked ladder even more. like lol there's so many duo boosted people in diamond who can't even carry themselves out of silver, yet somehow duoq must still be ignored. nevermind the fun that's had when matchmaking goofs because of duo's here, duo's there, duo's everywhere (oh wow this mmr math makes no sense anymore, said the poor little elo calculators)

I may be gold(used to care about rank, not anymore) but I rarely duo and never with a smurf. I earned my rank, so it's unfair when a S3 and a plat2 end up against me and eventually the S gets carried to gold. TBH, I have won against silver-plat duos but it's tilting and unfair. I used to be G2 90 lp at one point. I thought that with a little hard work I could get plat, but a combo of unrankeds, duos who had 1 member feed and the fact that the ranked rewards are the same made me not give a sh*t. I will hope for season 10. But duo IS bad as many people used it for boosting. They should keep duoing with people only in your elo/division
Pumpedhero1 votesTo answer most of this, simply 1 ward at the start is all you need, if u want more buy reds.. not hard. Im gold 4, I only play ranked for rewards, even tho im not even getting one this season due to my low honor, but as for keeping duos in your division.. this is already in place. Im G4 and I cannot duo with a S4, so unless you're MAYBE 1 rank or 2 away, duoing isn't really possible.

That invariably means one of the two is just along for the ride and has no idea WTF is going on and sinks the team (usually while the other in the duo complains about not being able to carry and goes something like 5/9/3).
Duos should have their LP gain cut in half if they win, and loose double when they lose.
Better and simpler would be just disallow duos in the first place. That would do so much for the competitive integrity of the game. After the horribly failed dynamic queue experiment in season 6, Riot is flat out dumb for still allowing duos in what everyone has always called "solo" queue because that's what it's supposed to be.

you can see that pretty easily nowadays with the clan tags, and if you're so inclined via the blitz app. so yeah :/ there's probably more than the blitz app that does it but that one is known so... what do you say now when people have the raw data?

it's the same thing in solo/duo. i started playing flex because i got tired of the false presumptions. we aren't playing soloq, we're playing duoboost and duogrief pending what type of duo's matchmaking gives you.

It's about not having a super misleading ranked system. Someone who duod a lot of games to a rank, does not demonstrate the same skills as someone who did it solo. It makes no sense to mix them. They emphasize different skills and this makes the ladder somewhat incoherent. Imagine if they did this for tennis and mixed rankings for doubles and singles.

Your tennis doubles analogy really drives the point home imo. A solo player simply doesn't bring as much to the table as a duo. We're only able to improve our personal skills a finite amount, whereas the synergies of a duo compound our contributions to the team. This would probably be most evident in bot lane. Whether you're queuing support or adc, your success relies very heavily on your lane partner. It can make playing either of these roles with randoms extremely frustrating, and I think this must be one of the main reasons we still have solo/duo queue today.

I'm tired of duos in general. They're usually extremely toxic.
I still don't understand why we can't see who is duo'd on our end, even if it's just teammates. Unless they share a club tag, you can't really find out until after the match. So many games a person gets extremely toxic, and some random teammates starts cosigning everything they say, and you look at the end of the match, and you realize why they were jumping on their bandwagon. They were a duo. I think you should at least have to be on your best behavior if you're part of a duo.
I don't like to mute teammates, but I would mute duos.
