Will the diamond 5 LP gains/losses be fixed with 5.9?

It's been a while since we've heard anything regarding the Diamond 5 LP gains/losses.

I'm wondering whether or not it's being addressed in this upcoming patch because playing ranked right now is pretty discouraging. Winning between 8-12 and losing 30-35.
