Evelynn is Unhealthy

Evelynn has an unfair advantage on every champion in the game, especially in the jungle role. Her damage is not the issue, however, it is the champion design. Riot themselves have stated that invis is unhealthy for the game, and that they wish to remove it. Evelynn's ganks have a single, and unreliable counterplay; buy control wards. I find it extremely confusing on how this has not been addressed on a large scale before. Forcing a player to use their gold on a control ward simply to KNOW they are getting ganked is ridiculous, nevermind the fact that even with a control ward, they may not survive the gank. This means the player is using their gold just to have a chance of surviving. It doesn't even matter if they survive the gank or not, because if they even saw the gank coming, then the Evelynn saw the ward. After the gank, the Eve simply destroys the ward, and gains gold simply for being designed as she is. This means that the player then has to buy a new control ward, and repeat the process. This cycle leaves little options for the player against the Evelynn, and makes it extremely frustrating for anyone on the opposing team, having to accept the fact that they are at a disadvantage, not because of their play, but because of the champion design of Evelynn.

PS I know there is a rework coming, and I hope this is addressed in full by the balance team during its production. I also know that Evelynn has a range in which she is visible to the enemy team, but with her speed buff, she will already be close enough to damage you by the time you see her.

Except Evelyn has camouflage and not invis.

Evelynn also has a secondary counterplay to her ganks, Freeze the wave in front of your tower denying the enemy both CS and ganks.

Tertiary counter play is to ward her jungle camps so you can see what side of the map she is clearing.

If you blindly push against an Eve, you deserve to get ganked by her, or any jungle for that matter.

She also has no flash, dash and is prone to dying vs good kiting and input buffering

I wouldn't say she has no flash, as Eve runs summoner 4 , blink or dash is more correct.

Good or experienced eves actually take ignite or exhaust in most matchups and teamcomps. She also has no inbuilt flash or blink mechanic.

Flash in and of itself is a blink mechanic, that is why I said it is more correct to say she has a lack or Blinks and Dashes.

Semantics! Flash is a blink mechanic and not a part of Evelyn's kit. The summoner, not the champion, casts the flash.

It's absolutely semantics.

I'm glad I was able to help you understand :)

I already understood. I was just trying to let you know the correct wording.

WorryWolfy1 votes

You did not let me know of a "Correct" wording but I am happy that I helped you understand semantics. Both what semantics are and that this is an example of semantics.

"relating to meaning in language or logic." I mean, you did nothing for this other than state the word.

I have served you the means to understand semantics. Both as a concept and this example to be semantics. Perhaps you really can't grasp it yet.

Whatever helps you sleep.

Feel better soon buddy. ;) When you hunger for more knowledge and better understanding I always have the most to offer.

semantics. We all knew what he meant.

Actually, you can prevent Evelynn ganks by just hitting the tab menu and counting her cs every time she shows on a control ward or gank. OR you can check what camps are up and their respawn times to keep track of her that way. It's very simple. If the Eve wants to throw you off by surprising you with a wonky route or a lane gank ie Wrap around gank, then there are huge trade offs. When the eve does gank you, she is weaker than other champions both in 2v1 and 2v2s. And her scaling is lackluster. Evelynn is not only healthy but easy to cope with. The problem isn't her, or the person playing her, it's you.

Riot never said they were going to rid invis, just reduce the number of champions that have it.

wanna know what counters eve to the point of unplayability? Malphite Amumu Chogath on the same team... doesnt even have to be those 3 in particular. litterally any 2-3 tanks will do the trick. all they do is stand on top of the ADC and APC and aint a damn thing you can do about it

And yet she is still an extremely weak champion

item 2055 item 3340 item 2049 (normal wards are for her jungle before you say "she can go through wards gg op!!!")

And she's also garbage late game. And some champions can 1v2 her gank since she has no cc and is squishy, did that so many times with Anivia after 6 im sure many other champions can if I can do it with this birb
