Can we 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 do something about the ninjas and samurais in League? Specifically One-Hit dmg.
While I'm not a regular poster, I thought I should bring this topic to light due to the recent remake of Akali.
LoL has a lot of ninja, samurai, and monk themed champions- , etc . While they seem unique aesthetically, many of them have something in common. Many of them have an ability that basically allows them to be untargettable for a period time, then deal considerably large amount of damage. In Example: Yi's Alpha Strike (Q), Zed's Death Mark (R), Kayn's Umbral Trespass, and Yasuo's Last Breath (R). In some cases the damage can be fatal when these champions are fed (have acquired a large amount of kills), and they usually get fed pretty frequently due to their high dps and mobility.
From my personal experience, when a champion of this type gets fed, I find it less enjoyable to play regardless of whether i'm playing with or against them. When playing _with_ them when they're fed, it feels as though there's no teamwork and less oppurtunity to acquire my own kills. When playing against them I find myself trying less, and frustrated that this could happen so often and guarantee defeat. It just feels so unbalanced, so much that you can anticipate the outcome of a match based on the amount ninja-themed champions on each team.
Developers, to make league of legends a more enjoyable game with more diverse gameplay, I suggest nerfing what really matters; the damage or cooldown on one-hit abilities with such simple mechanics that you can click on a champion and they just die. I understand that the offset of this is already the amount of health champions with such abilities have, but with the mobility, and the sheer, untargettable nature of these champions, this offset is insubstantial at most.
Speaking of untargettable, a few games against the new Akali and I find her smoke ring to be a problem. I didn't put much thought into the old akalis smokescreen, but I consider this new one to have some pretty over-the-top new mechanics regarding it's size, growth, and duration. I find the size of the ring to be quite annoying even when i'm trying to turret hug, in which case I get poked multiple times due to it's increasing duration! I know the offset for these mechanics is that twilight shroud produces a "ring" instead of "circle" but this does little considering the ring gets larger and players are going to line the edge of the circle anyway to escape or snipe. Akali is fine without a fancier smokescreen, her smokescren can already be considered broken. If there's anything to tweak about this new version of Akali, it's the darn ring.
I hope you, players and developers, take this post into consideration.
jungle who can basically 1v5 by 15 minutes. Again, extreme cases.
, you're being unfair to yourself, your team, and not being constructive when it comes to actually balancing.
