Is teemo shrooms eating shiv proc intended?

Noticed that when I shot teemo's mushrooms my statikk shyv proc was used. Was under the assumption that all wards and pets that had set health bars (IE: zyra thorns, illaoi tentacles, teemo shrooms) weren't supposed to use these charges.

Just thought I'd ask, as this seems inconsistent with other similar object interactions.
