I Think We're All Missing The Rather Large Picture About Dynamic Queue

So, I've given this a major amount of thought about what might be fixed with the new dynamic queue.

Lemme get this straight I have nothing wrong with the new dynamic queue, it's so much quicker and convenient for me. It should also be stated that I am a support main, Thresh is my main and I love him. I realize this is probably why I have no problem with the dynamic queue since my main role is never contested. I also realize that the dynamic queue has it's problems for other's, and this is my 2 cents on the problem.

I stated this already within this post "My main role is never contested." hear me out now.

I believe all of the dynamic queue problems can be solved with just more people playing ADC and Support, support mainly. I agree that support is a boring role, even with it being my main, I've noticed I've always had more fun when I go mid/jungle/top. Support is just not as rewarding/ interesting, even ADC has it's own charm with it's high level mechanical skill that is possible within it's own role. Top lane is usually the main initiator you make stuff happen within the game, or your a busier and you do SO MUCH damage, same thing for mid your either a mage or assassin with your own mechanics and it feels so good to out-play someone. If you're the jungle you ARE the reason most people win their lane, but support you don't really get this feeling of satisfaction like in other roles. Thresh actually comes the closest to this with his high skill cap, but one champion out of the entire role just doesn't cut it. Riot is getting better with their support design, Tahm kench while f****ing infuriating to fight is still interesting, for the first few games. Bard get's a lot of flack but the thing is he can be fun to play with his ult and his roaming, but again for the first few games. For the most part the supports are just boring to play, you can not tell me you enjoy playing Soraka game after game. This being said, riot's design for supports still needs to get exponentially better before people play support more, but once they do get better I encourage people to try and play support more, who knows maybe you'll find someone as a support you actually enjoy.

TL;DR: Dynamic queue isn't the problem, it's the fact that support is a neglected role and the fault for that is riot's, with their boring support design. Once they get better at making support's interesting dynamic queue wait times will get shorter.

You are confusing Dynamic Queue with the new Champion Select.

  • Champion Select is what allows you to choose your role(s).
  • Dynamic Queue is what allows variable sized premade groups in Ranked.

The two systems are not intertwines and may easily exist separate from one another; they were just released at the same time.

Quite frankly, most players are rather happy about being able to choose which roles they want to play.

However, they are not happy with premade groups in ranked (from 3-5 people) and with the vast difference in skill that this can result in (since it allows players from without 10 divisions of one-another to be premade).

Dynamic queue CANNOT be fixed imo... It's going to be either dq stays and ppl quit and ranked suffers and eventually riot falls or solo queue is put back in and ranked returns to what it was. Honestly, I did not think solo queue was toxic. Sure others may have had ragers but that's usually only 1-2 people at most on your team compared to 3-4 now.

The problem with Dynamic Que has nothing to do with role selections, the problem involves the match making of player MMR, placing 4 man pre mades and a solo vs teams of 2 duos and a solo, diamonds and plats trashing 2 gold 2 silver and pre 30 team, ect.
