Bronze troubles with trolls. Do we need a method of punishment during champ select?

So I'm trying to climb through Bronze, which means I'm playing ranked. I'm bronze. I make bad decisions. I screw up during laning phase. I don't watch my minimap quite as often as I should. I try to make plays and fail miserably and die a horrific death, but I'm trying. I understand when you get autofilled into a role you don't want, you have to do what you can there. Pick a champ that you're comfortable on that can do the role you've been assigned, play safe, and try to help your team with objectives. But when you get someone that gets autofilled, then proceeds to demand a different lane, stating that they are going to go there no matter what, then proceeding to ban the champ that laner has hovered, because the troll is told the laner doesn't want to switch roles with them? Then they pick a troll champion for their role AND the role that they are making a fuss for? This is ranked. If it's a normal, it's annoying, sure...but maybe they have a great play in their slot with the champ they have...but in ranked, you have to play what you're given and if that person can't give a valid reason for their choices, they are just trolling. That's part of ranked. Learn more about the game as a whole, and learn to play as a team. Now I know, "#BronzeThings" but seriously...how is this even remotely acceptable behavior? This is blatant trolling, and there not being a report option during champion select means these people are perfectly free to do this without fear of repercussion, unless we just lose the game cause we are going into a 4v5 with our 5th likely just feeding, based on their current behavior. While this isn't cool in a Normal, in ranked it costs you LP and sets you back, not because you and your team played bad or got outplayed, but because RNG placed this troll in your team that completely trashes your team's chances at winning. Could you still win? sure. If you're maybe a gold+ player that somehow got dropped into bronze. But for us Bronzies trying to get better and climb, it's absolute hell. Before people start flaming and going off about "carry better" and "get gud scrub", I enjoy playing Support, which means carrying isn't exactly high in my role. Can a support carry? Sure! However your ADC tends to hate you for it, and now YOU'RE the troll too. Flip side is, no matter how hard I feed my adc, someone just running down mid every 30 seconds and feeding the enemy mid laner, is going to out power my adc. "Just dodge when you have a troll, duh!". This isn't always acceptable, and it's complete trash that this is even a recommended approach. In your promos, it's an automatic loss. So you're FORCED to play this game for the miracle 1% chance of winning, or just accept that you are failing your promos. Outside of promos, you have to lose 10 LP to "dodge" and sit around for a 15m+ queue timer (if you're getting these people often, and in bronze, they are almost ALWAYS in your game lobby). I have friends in Silver, Gold, and a friend in Diamond. They each tell me that this kind of behavior still occurs in their divisions, though not quite as often as in bronze. That makes this an issue that spans through a very LARGE portion of the ranked community. I guess what I'm getting at, is "Why isn't there a way to kick/report/punish these trolls that are hampering my ability to enjoy the game, and hurting my chances at climbing (more-so than I do to myself already, since I suck at this game)?"

Bronze should be relatively easy to climb out of. You may not get beyond Silver, but it shouldn't be as hard as it is. It's only as hard as it is because a lot of people don't take the game seriously, and they play what they want, treating it just like a normal game where no one cares.

I doubt Riot will ever do anything about trolls in champion select, but it would be nice to have a Voting function where the other 4 team members could vote to opt out of the game without losing LP because of a troll. That would be nice. Riot would probably say people would abuse such a function to avoid unwanted team compositions.

Bronze is all-access. Once you get into Silver a lot of the trolls vanish. This season is .... complicated.

Thank you Therion for the reply. As I said earlier, I know I'm still bad at the game (last season i was placed b2 after placements and fell to b3 at the last second during season). I'd be ecstatic to reach silver lol. I agree that there needs to be some sort of vote mechanism or something. Even a free weekly dodge would be nice...it's something that I've talked about with friends, and having some sort of "dodge charge" that we could use for a free dodge that recovers slowly/per games played (kinda like ARAM rolls), so we can get out of games like that without suffering LP loss. Idk, I know "who cares about bronze?", but some of us are here, who want to get better at the game, and struggle to do so for reasons that are outside of us (we suck, I know, but sometimes our sucking isn't entirely our own doing). Anyways, thanks for the ray of light in this bronze darkness. My dream is hitting gold this season, but for now, Silver seems as far as the moon, making gold a whole nother galaxy lol.

Silver is just as all access as bronze. Too many new players who know nothing get tossed into silver after their provisional games conclude (Myself included back in Season 3)

The climb to gold will require you to learn the fundamentals, unless you duo with someone

Thanks for the response Hexs. I don't want to be "that boosted scrub" though lol. I mean, I know it'd be nice, but there's more to be gained in EARNING my placement into gold, ya know? I know there are way too many fundamentals to list here, but any tips or suggestions would be wonderful to help the climb. Any youtubers that you recommend I watch (preferrably people who break stuff down and explain it...that way I'm actually seeing and learning what I'm SUPPOSED to be seeing and learning, and not just "That LB outplayed Zed so hard!" kinda deal? One of my diamond friends is always wanting to queue into normals with me, saying that I'll get better by playing against better players...and I can see the logic in this, but a bronze vs a diamond is just a massacre...I've been in those games where I was 0/15 around 20 mins into the game, and doing a few of those games is seriously morale crushing, so I feel that's TOO much better than me, for me to really gain anything of use outta it ROFL. I want to be better at the game. I know that sometimes you just have to let someone else carry (I play a fair bit of support, and that's all we really ever do lol), but how to improve enough to ensure my team wins? Where do I start? Thanks in advance Hexs Fortune, and thanks once again for the reply here.
