Riot should bring back Tribunal
Let me start off by saying im terrible at writing essays so im sorry if this is hard to read. Ill try to make this as neat as possible. Also will put a TL:DR.
As we all know by now, Riot report system is.... well it flat out sucks. People who flame soft inter's get banned while the real trolls get to keep playing. I dont wanna list examples because everyone has experienced it. I was familiar with the tribunal system when i first joined league (around s5 i believe) but i think that was the last season they had it. If i had to guess what it was, was it rioters who watched games to see who int'd/flamed or whatever. thats not my point here. I think they NEED to bring back the tribunal system but let the players decide. What i linked above is a screenshot of the website named gamebattles.
- If you are familiar with anything that has to do with the call of duty amateur/pro scene, then you have been on this site. Basically, you compete on this site for rankings/money blah blah. They have a tab thats been there for as long as i know called match resolution, that lets you take a look at a random match that has been disputed. Since you report scores of the map you guys played, if both teams report different scores, the match goes in a limbo state until its reviewed and decided by someone. What the cool thing about this system was that anyone with a little experience on the ladder (like a bunch of games played on that particular game) can review that match, review the proof that was submitted and make a decision. When the decision is made, if your party still think youre in the right you could appeal it (if you paid membership) and i admin would take a look at the game.
I think having this sort of system for league would be astronomically beneficial to the game and the rep it currently gets. Now i know theres a lot of you that would probably question it so ill list below the questions i would ask if i were reading this

Q: What if someone you knew was on a team you were reviewing and you were to give them the win? A: Chances are, you arent going to see your friends match. From my personal experience, ive decided over thousands of games over the years (its been like 6-7 years since i joined that site so thousands isnt that much) and i could only recall finding one person i knew. Maybe thats because i wasnt popular so i didnt have a bias and i didnt know anyone but still. Thousands of games get reported so the chances of finding your friends game is slim to none.

Q: Cant i just give anyone the win and go to the next match cause i dont care and i want to mess with everyone? A: technically yes you can but i mean most people dont. I know there is a lot of bad ppl out there but i dont see why someone would do it. A number of people have to review the match for it to be decided so i highly doubt like lets say 11 people needed to review a match, that 6 of them dont care.

Q: Would you get paid doing this? A: No and i think thats a good thing. TBH i want whats best for league and i want people to enjoy playing. Im d2 peak masters a month ago and the people there are the same as in plat. If i could decide matches whenever i want to and go through the game and chat logs to see who is at fault then yea i would do it everyday. Helping people resolve their disputes back then was so fun because i actually thought i was helping people.
TBH theres probably a lot more questions that could be asked but thats the only thing i could think of atm. The gamebattles system imo worked almost perfectly because i never seen anyone complain about it and it is still running till this day. I know it would be a lot of work to remake the report system but i think using gamebattles match resolution as a foundation would be a very good start. please let me know what you guys think !
TL:DR : Report system sucks. Make a new system that allows players to review the matches that have been reported and let the proof do its thing.
