I love this game... and hate it.

For about 3 years now I have played League with a kind of obsessive passion. Not only have a spent thousands (yes really) of dollars into the game, but I rarely lose a day without playing. Even though I have only played a few years, I have already started to surpass my fellow league players who have been around since season 2 in hours played and I have more lvl 7s then them all. I am not trying to boast, I simply want to elaborate how MUCH I love this game.

I am also a support main ( a glutton for punishment) for all these years and I refused to play ranked, until recently.

I hate this game. I hate ranked so much.

This is my 7th loss in almost a row of afks. Hahaa, forever Silver V.

I love this game, so much and I love playing support. However, the constant backlash for the arrogance of other players really curbs my appetite. I really don't want to lose my love for it.

Now I was wondering, can someone give me some in depth knowledge on lp gain and loss?

I want to understand why I would if I am losing the same lp in an afk loss as a normal one (which I think I am) and why this is a thing.

I understand that if Rito gave you a break every time someone afk'ed then people would exploit it. Much like they do when a fun support item comes out T_T Looking at you mid-laners. However, I really don't want to lose this game, I enjoy it too much but the frustration is really getting to me.

Maybe this is just a rant, maybe no one at Riot will read it but I still want to say: I really wish you would speak to your player base more about actual brain storming. You always have reasonable comebacks for why you can't always give players what they want, and I understand that, I just wish there was something you could say that would make me hate this part of league less.

My ideas:

  • If someone has afk'ed for a certain percentage of the game then there should be a reduced lp loss.

  • Support items should be paired with exhaust and sightstone to make sure others do not exploit support items that are really cool. P.S I LOVE what you've done with support so far.

  • Style badges should be given to people who steal objectives. So if more of red team helped less of blue members get baron they get a style badge to make them feel awesome. They are awesome :)

  • Ward (just the top one) score should be showing on the in game stats, because when you get insulted for not warding you can point to it and shut them up. It's really made my warding improve, but I believe in game stats would really make me feel even more focused.

  • More movement items (influencing someones movement) would be a great addition to the game. Not picking people up, but rather nudging them. This for people who love being play makers. I am selfish, I would love supports to identify as play makers, I feel it would make their role so much more satisfying, but that is just me.

  • I think control wards should be added to the trinkets again, except that placing it down costs you money to do it. I would prefer to not have to keep an item slot open and put me even further behind just for control wards.

I think that is about it. Hopefully I'm not seriously bothering anyone. Just wanted to get this off my chest.

Good Day All. Nora
