Yasuo and Essence Reaver

So while I typically don't post on the boards or like to complain. I discovered something in a game that caught my attention as being a bit overpowered. I wanted to play Yasuo in a game to see if he was as broken as people were saying he was, I'm not a Yasuo main by any means, and I noticed that if you build Static Shiv on him as well as Essence Reaver he reaches 100% crit chance and 40% CDR. While this may not be bad in and of itself. At max rank his ult is on a 16 second cooldown. I was able to use it twice in one team fight. And I thought Lux had a low cooldown on her ult. :P Anyway, just thought I'd point that out.

TLDR: Yasuo item 3087 item 3508 = Ahri item 3070

On a side note it'd be nice if mages had more options for CDR since it's so easy for AD's to get it now.

Edit: It was pointed out in the comments that with those two items you only reach 30% CDR. I build IE and Death's Dance that game as well. I'm not sure how well either of those items synergize with him though.

cdr isn't a trong stat on yasuo, as only w+r profit from it. Q cd scales of AS, E cd scales with nothing but ranks. so basically, ER is IE with out 50%critdamage, but 30% cdr for his ult. It's simply not worth to loose out on ~20% increased damage total(rough estimate of what the 50% critdamage add to yasuo) just to have your ult on 9sec less cd.

You cant reach 40% cdr with only those 2. Reavers CDR is capped on 20% from crit. That build gives 30% cdr.

Unless they have changed it only the ultimate and windwall is affected by CDR

Anything else has no cooldown or cdr is scaled by attackspeed(Q)

That's only 30% CDR

Regardless, if the cc is worth it, then by all means go for Shiv + Reaver. If you can land ult on a target to keep them in place more often barring the controversial 50% bonus armor pen, that's something worth noting.

Also, more Wind Walls. But in the end it's all up to preference; you'll have to remember that in comparison to IE and/or Trinity Force, you'd merely sacrifice some solid damage from both those items' passives.
