Champ select isn't fair to people who (wish to) main mid lane

Before the introduction of the new-ish champ select, i mained mid lane. I didnt always get to play my main and favorite role because mid is the most popular role, at least in my elo. However, since the champ select changes, i am forced to main other roles because i get put in the mid lane so very rarely. i tested it and found that i was given mid lane ONCE out of 20 times that i queue'd for it as my primary role in a row. thats absurd. once, i was even in a duo queue for a normal and my friend queue'd up as fill and i queue'd up mid/jungle in that order. my friend was given mid and i was put into the jungle and that absolutely blew my mind and kind of irritated me to be honest.

As it would be dumb of me to make this post without offering a solution, i give you my idea: for every certain number of games that you dont play in your primary preferred role, the system automatically puts you in that role the next time you queue up as that same role for your primary. Example- say i queue up for 5 games in a row with mid lane as my primary and jungle as my secondary. if i dont get put in mid lane in ANY of those 5 games, the system would automatically put me into that role.

Problems i can see with this: somewhat longer potential queue times (i would honestly be fine with waiting a little longer if it means i get my main role) this would probably mean that somebody gets pushed out of their preferred role eventually in their daily games, however, i never get my preferred role so i honestly dont care if somebody else gets pushed out of theirs so i can play mine. again, i NEVER get to play my favorite role so some sacrifices should be in order so that im not forced to main other roles
