I think the negative assessments of a game can be a good thing, bringing attention to poorly designed aspects of the game is important for balance and discussion among the community.

That being said, a majority of posts are "Lol damage is way too high, fuck this DOTA here I come" and that's a problem. Riot barely ever looked at this board (I assume they mainly focus on Gameplay+ now) because nobody wants to actually back up their arguments with evidence and discuss how the game can be changed for the better. Everyone wants to be angry and insult Riot because they disagree with the direction the game is going.

It would be a valid point if every post didn't look like this:

Title: "I'm done, Riot. Fix your fucking game."

Body: "This game is an absolute mess based around who can one shot the other faster. Revert back to S4 and fire the balance team please."

And that post will get like, 3 upvotes and then another post will take it's place, rinse and repeat. If you want to say that, fine, but atleast add some substance to not make someone disregard it entirely.

As much as I love G+, that is not at all a safe assumption.

G+ was made with love by mods who love discussing the game on here, but Riot pays attention to the platforms that provide the most useful feedback. I think it would be presumptuous of the mod team to claim that G+ was successful at that.

Reddit and Twitter are also places Riot can go for feedback, and if we want them to come here for feedback, it's our job to provide good feedback to lure them in. That's the honest truth. I'd be lying if I claimed G+ wasn't part of that attempt... I'd also be arrogant for assuming it worked. Those of us who really love Boards will keep trying, and you can count me among that number :)

I probably should have worded that better. I meant to say that Riot kind of disregards the boards altogether mainly for the reasons stated above but also because of how much more popular Reddit is. When they do focus on the Boards, it's usually limited to Gameplay+

I totally left that part out, _oof _

I do think you guys did a great job with Gameplay+ though, it's a huge step in the right direction. I've been using the boards for a long time across a few different accounts and I can't wait to see what you guys have in store next.

I mean, I hope you're right! I hope they do pay attention to G+! I'm just not 100% sure that they do.

I do think they pay some attention to Gameplay, I just think that the playerbase here isn't super worth engaging, for the reasons that you've stated. It's one thing to lurk, and another to engage. Worth noting that we don't see a significantly more Riot engagement on G+ for now. I would absolutely love for that to change, but I don't expect it to happen overnight.

Damage IS too high. How much more evidence of that do you need? You want to change the game for the better? Try lowering damage. Its not that complicated.

Please reread the post because you missed the entire point of it.

You're missing the obvious. Damage is too high. Its not that hard to fix.

You can't expect a feedback board to be positive. When someone notices something about the game, 9/10, it's negative. You shouldn't have to praise positive game design in the world's most popular game either.

I think by and large the lore/graphic design feedback is very positive. The gameplay side of it though needs an overhaul.

I mean, the lore and art design are fantastic. Have you seen some of the older cinematics? Even "Get Jinxed" music video was completely amazing.

Too bad the feeling of watching a cinematic doesn't correlate to gameplay.

I mean, last year Riot demonstrated they practically lead the world in negative corporate culture and toxicity. How could you expect this not to carry over into the game and every aspect of it, discussion board included?
