Current state of Gragas - @RiotSolcrushed, Scruffy or anyone, really.

Its been quite a long since Gragas rework came out, and overall, Id say the rework was a success, at least in some regard. His Q and W were made much more interesting abilities, and its a fun when you get that extra strong barrel to pop, and his old W was extremely boring ability.

Initially after the rework came out, he was in fairly bad shape. Not long after that, Gragas received few buffs, and he became a Fotm pick in top lane thanks to his extremely good laning with his W not having a mana cost. That lasted for a few weeks, after which he received fairly severe nerfs and as I am writing this, only Yasuo and Urgot have worse winrate than him. Its important to note that his pick rate is also pretty low, and steadily decreasing.

He was initially reworked to be a AP Bruiser, which didn't really get traction at any point, unlike the full AP Lichbane Gragas which was popular for a while in Casual and competitve League. I distinctly remember Froggen saying that If Gragas is built as a Bruiser or tank, he would be useless late game. So for a second, it seemed like Riot gave up trying to shoehorn him into a AP bruiser, and embraced his APC identity, which I personally feel is the right way for him to go.

After the nerfs he got in 4.13, he has been in a fairly horrible state. (For the record, I agree with W having a mana cost but I don't agree with Q doing less damage to minions, It doesn't really make much sense tbh.) And I'm sitting here, somewhat frustrated because I know it might take a year or so before anyone starts paying attention to Gragas again, and subsequently receive some changes. And because I alone can't do anything else than desperately post here to get him attention that he needs. He doesn't have the same huge fan base that can create a lot of attention for him like Cassiopeia for example, and nobody seems to recognize that he is in a pretty bad shape, despite all the signs being pointed out.

So, I am wondering, if the Fatman will receive any changes in the future? I won't bother posting my own ideas, because they are most likely bad, and

And I apologize if I come across as demanding, rude or anything like that. It would mean the world to me if someone at Riot would answer this.

I agree that he definitely needs help. The 4.13 nerfs really messed him up proper. I've actually been thinking on this lately, and I believe this issue is the mana cost on his W. I admit that free damage reduction, sustain/synergy with his passive, and massive earth-shattering porkchop hands was busted, as much as I loved it. Unfortunately having mana on his W now forces him to build a mana item of some kind, pushing him towards the APC build path. This is contradicted by the low ratios and gallons of utility the rest of his kit has, which lean pretty hard in the tank/bruiser direction. The result is a fat guy that cant make up his mind, and now he can't fill either role well. My instinct says remove the mana on W, but I know that is not the answer. I'm not sure what he needs, but right now he is in a bad place and is caught between identities.

gragas was reworked, overtuned, and quickly nerfed into obscurity. Now he's been shoved into the shelf where he's going to collect dust for a very long time.

kind of like skarner and nidalee.

In my opinion they should add the AS modifier to his Q again. This way he can't kill the enemy ADC alone, but he becomes a threat again reducing the damage output of enemies ADC.
