Why? D: (Lucian Nerf)

Lucian's new nerf is bad. Lucian is a decent champion, and my main, but relentless pursuit now costing mana is absurd. In most of my builds, I upgraded his relentless pursuit 4th, 15th, 17th, and 18th, it costed no mana so I could focus on other abilities. Now it costs mana, so I will now have to upgrade it earlier, putting down his laning by a ton I can no longer clutch out of team fights if my mana is dry, nor can I dodge attacks without being pestered by mana.

I may not be PRO, but now I have to rethink my whole Lucian build, and it won't turn out good in the end. It would have been better to nerf his other attacks, maybe less range on piercing light would have been better.

I don't use it like that, nor do I cry. At level one 40 mana is around 1/5 to 1/7 of your mana. If you don't start upgrading early, might as well quit. It is a small, simple ability which in reality doesn't do much, but is helpful for dodging and moving forward while chasing. Now I might as well not chase, nor run. 40 mana (the less the more you upgrade) is not worth it, nor is upgrading it. All other champions have abilities that do damage,Lucian had a tiny ability that helped, now it is a worthless ability that I won't use.

You're over-thinking it. Past the low levels it won't be an issue (aka they're targeting the low levels, duh). You won't need to put points into it because your base mana will solve the issue on it's own. So calm them crying tits meng.

There are a lot of champions that are very mana hungry at low levels if you get to spammy, namely Azir and Nidalee (from what I've experienced anyways). Honestly, there is no reason you should be able to easily escape almost any situation caused by bad positioning or just being stupid at no cost. If you play smart, you shouldn't even need to use it often at low levels considering most of the other champions can get along fine with little to no mobility.

The ability is useless if it does. It is a mana waste, and I can't focus my piercing light and ardent blaze without losing all of my mana in a fight.

Lol why would you upgrade it earlier? The mana cost isn't gonna kill you silly. It'll just add more reasonable cost and thought to it. Upgrading it is still gonna be pointless compared to QW. Just be less spam-happy with it and only use it at opportune moments like you should have already been doing anyway.
