I am currently Diamond 5. My friend who I duo with for 2 years is Platinum 3. Now patch 6.7 is not allowing us to play together. Please fix riot because all my friends are almost lower than plat 2. You are making us solo rank more than playing with friends and having fun. Whoever made this new Gap limit is trying to ruin League Of Legends.
You mean fix league? there was already a huge issue of premades stomping around in ranked and this was placed in there to prevent this. Ranked is a competitive environment made for people who want to compete with players and reach new levels, it's just not really meant to be a place for friends to hang out that's what normals are for.
Presumably if your friend is capable of playing at a diamond 5-ish level alongside you, then it won't be that long until they reach plat 2 and you'll be able to duo again.
League does not consist solely of ranked play. Feel free to do normal games with your friends, but ranked is supposed to stay competitive. It doesn't help to skew the system with teammates that aren't of a similar skill level.
