To my understanding, and from what I have seen through game play, critical damage runes and the Infinity Edge's passive does not override, or interact in any way with Ashe's new passive. And the only way to get increased critical damage damage is through purchasing items with crit or having bonus crit runes. Is that correct?

They do apply to her Passive.
