But I do understand how the English language works. I've been speaking it fluently for about thirty years now. And not to brag, but all my grades, >and test scores, would seem to contradict your stance.
I'm more than willing to listen to almost anyone, yourself included. I never said I wouldn't listen to someone uneducated in a subject. Not having a >formal education in something doesn't mean you cannot make valid points on the subject.
I was not attempting to discredit your points based on your education; I was curious because you made a point to claim you were educated on a >subject, and I wished to know what that education was.
And while I really don't want to get in a philosophical debate here, I would argue that human beings have an innate curiosity that is a motivation for >many of us to seek an understanding of the unknown. One could argue that curiosity is the basis for our creation of myths and religions, as they are >on their most basic level, an attempt to explain the unknown. That curiosity drives us to explore the greater world around us. Seeking knowledge for >the sake of knowledge itself is as old a concept as civilization. The human mind seeks out the nourishment of knowledge as surely as the body >seeks the the nourishment of food.
But again, that is a deeper philosophical debate I don't really want to get into, and more importantly, has nothing to do with my understanding of the >word "valid", or my grasp of the English language.
Also, you contradict yourself with this statement:
I have a condition for this, but also a motive. That I wish everyone would just agree upon the truth and not to add or subtract anything from it.
If your personal desires are a valid motivation, then my personal desire to know something previous unknown to me is equally valid.
Edit: I also feel neither bad, nor attacked. My feelings are not that fragile, and I find a challenge to my position to be neither harmful, nor personal, >rather a chance for personal growth.
I also do understand how the english language works. I have been speaking it somewhat fluently for about 15 years now. And not to brag, but I did learn English myself and my English teachers asked me for help.
The claim it would contradict my stance is of most irrelevant and serves no purpose to this discussion.
You make a claim but I dont see the showing. This is a common occurrence among men. It starts with kindergarten and my dad is stronger then your dad to avoid physical confrontaiton.
The premessis for the answer you have been looking for has been explained to you to the best of my ability. THere is no more I can do for you here.
I disagree but dont feel this is the time, the place nor you to be the correct person to discuss this with. I also dont see this as a personal attack but a rather attack on humanity as a whole... or rather the inhabitants of these boards... this due to previous expeirences and the fact that the owners can translate anythign they want in to what ever they wat, their boards, their rules, their decision.
I disagre, i believe it has everything to do with ones understanding.
I dont believe Im contradicting myself at all and I make this statement based on my knowledge. Not all information was revealed and just like anyone else your knowledge is not absolut. Just because I have not told you something doesnt make it non-existant or not true. I have not told you I survived a car crash and there is no way for you to determine if this is true or not... not that it matters to you, but it does to the debate that is offoptic that you have been informed about many times. (using riots principes here)
