My opinion of a Poppy Rework

I've sat back and couldn't take reading the stuff I see posted on forums across the web about Poppy's update any longer. People are eager to butcher her Passive and Ult.

Poppy could actually be made world's better if her E was a skillshot.

  1. You could jump over walls.
  2. You could flee
  3. You could punish people know are in a bush but don't have sight on them.

In my perfect world the re-work would end here with a nice art, ingame visual and art update~~~~

So here is my insight on what I think needs changed if they positively have to.

Q - this is most likely still going to be a hammer attack of some sort - as with the stats I'll let math geeks work that out W- this has the most potential to be changed into something cool. - currently its a minor AD DEF buff passively, and a chasing mechanism thats mana hungry. W in my opinion needs to be something that sets up her Wall charge combo, so lets do what was intended make Poppy have a sort of Riven dash that grants a barrier, and since poppy uses mana it should have a more rewarding effect over riven's. possibly a larger hop.

E- mainly should stay the same, however it is slightly buggy we could go with my idea with it being a skillshot now.

As with the passive I think Poppy should have the ability to stack debuffs on target's armor, or ignore a portion of the target's armor? this one is up for debate something needs done that relates her blacksmithing background maybe she makes more use of Armor, meaning she doesn't have to buy as much to be an effective bruiser, it would still keep the current poppy alive?

R- Poppy's Ult This idea I actually like alot, so here goes .... I call it Sword and Shield, Poppy Switches her Armor stat with her Attack Damage stat. it would last 6 seconds or so...?

  • also there would be bonus's to the switch, I think this idea could effectively keep poppy similar to how she currently is.

  • meaning you could potentially become a tanky poppy that goes assassin for a brief amount of time or an assassin Poppy who becomes tanky on the spot.

thanks for reading my giant wall of text, I main poppy despite being unranked ect I do ok with her, and she is heeps of fun if you enjoy the hardships of early game, and make it to late.

The most ironic part about the peope who want to see Poppy gutted because of her passive don't even know how it works...

I can't count to times where I had to correct people who said that a Poppy who'ld loose 15% pre passive would only loose 7.5% health - instead of (the correct amount of) 12.5%.

It sad how people can't read properly, hence ask for nerfs...

As for the rework. I hope they never rework her. (Yea, I know they announced they will) She has become one of my favorite junglers, even though it took my ages to find the perfect rune/mastery setup to make up for all of her flaws.
