Why is allied bard ult not blocked by black shield

I'm just wondering why this is the case, maybe you could give me an explanation for this:

Why can't black shield block an allied Bard ult?

> Places a protective barrier around an allied champion, absorbing magical damage and disables until penetrated or the shield dissipates.

I don't know if this is intended, but it would seem consistent to me to be able to black shield an allied bard ult.

just curious^^

an allied Bard ult would presumably be helpful, thus would not be a 'disable'

might be more accurate to say that it 'is presumed to be helpful'

It's sort of board wipe in MTG think, Bard's ult target's "The Rift", since "The Rift" doesn't have Black Shield and you are in "The Rift" you still get ulted, much like creatures with hexproof still die to "Destroy all creatures in play" or other boardwipe, because they aren't being targeted specifically, rather their immunity is maneuvered around.

because bard is the most powerful champ in the game and bards ult does not do damage.

well, but it most certainly disables your movement...and i've seen much more catastrophic bard ults than actually useful, so it might be an option to rescue your mates from trolling wanderers :D
