Garen vs everybody!

Hello hello, I have been playing Garen for a long time i absolutely love playing him and his lore. The only problem i have and a lot of known Garen players have such as RistiuMMask and MarrineRevenge have is that garen is not able to handle Tank much ups, the fact that Garen is getting out damaged by tanks is unacceptable. I love the new W buff with the tenacity but its just not enough. Adding damage on garen would be useless or broken on him so what i would recommend is to make his Q ability Steal a flat amount of Mana from the target being hit, now that would help him deal most tanks that use mana, and it would fit his lore perfectly since Garens sword is made of petrecite and its meant to work against Magic so why not make it steal mana from the target being hit? That would solve the problem and would not make him over powered.

garen only gets outtraded by tanks in the early game. but he gets outtraded early on by almost everyone.

from midgame on, tanks are only dangerous as cc threats in larger fights to him. he can easily take them on 1v1.

i dont mind how weak he is early on. the only thing id wish is that he scaled harder for how weak his early game is. its pretty much down there with nasus, while he scales well, but nowhere near as hard as other lategame champions.

i wish theyd make some slight scaling changes to his w passive and turn it into an infinite stack mechanic. they can put a diminishing effect on it after 30 armor/mr, similar to how Thresh armor stacking slows down after a certain point.

.3 per stack until 15 resists .2 per stack until 30 resists .1 per stack without cap.

this would amount to around 30 armor&mr at 125 cs (almost the same as now), and 50 armor/mr at 325 cs (really late game).

I have no problem with tanks, but all sorts of problems with more updated tanky fighters and juggernauts. Against real tanks I just get Mortal Reminder as my main damage item and continue as normal.

Which tanks in particular are you having trouble with?

Orn is one of those much ups that is really hard to deal with, especially when they take courage of the colossus, but the main problem with him is that he out damages Garen in lane and in lvl 11 by the time garen is able to beat him in theory laning phase is almost over
