His MMR is pretty insane for bronze 5 0 lp LOL he's in another game, and he's already 0/2, 6 minutes in.

I wouldve thought maybe he wins then just mass dodges to keep LP and rank low but he loses A LOT of games, like 1 win in the last 10 ranked yet OPGG still puts him at G3 MMR.

He is trying to derank. He has 1 win out of his past 11 games, and in that game he went 1/9. Na.op.gg also gives him a Gold3 MMR on an Bronze5 0LP account. When your top two played champions are Nami with a 60% winrate over 105 games and Zilean with an 84% winrate over 74 games, there is no reason for you to be Bronze 5.
You got unlucky. It might not look like it, but the player was throwing. Or maybe its a shared/bought account or something.
This is definitely a case of a bought account, or someone else played a lot of games for him. 60% wr Nami on 105 games and a 84% winrate on Zilean with 74 games. Has not played other of those champions in at least aa month or two.
He may just be a bought account for all we know. If he is actively losing but he HAD amazingly high winrate, I don't really know.
He has more wins than losses. That's going to usually give a high MMR. Dodging champions selects used to cause a loss and everything that comes with a loss. Since that changed, I wouldn't be surprised if it no longer reduces MMR (or reduces it less). It does remove LP, which is how one's rank lowers.

well from the looks of it, they have a Yi that is unranked, but considering Yi's name contains "Smurf" i bet thats what he is. A low plat or gold smurf. If he queued up with a buddy who was on his own main that would mean your nasus was mistakenly abducted from his elo in an effort to "balance" the teams.

How is this possible? How can his mmr be so high when he has an overall 53% win rate and resides in Bronze 5 0 LP? Somebody explain to me please.
maybe if matchmaking worked better than garbage then people wouldnt be so inclined to get boosted to begin with
granted it wouldnt solve the problem 100% or anything
but this leaves me questioning why we even have a rank and dont show mmr
lets be honest about mmr, the only reason its not visible is the same reason they took borders away.... they got tired of people complaining about how unfair the matches are

I heard if hes a great support, his mmr will rise even if he loss, its because I think mmr is base on performance not games won
