How does Riot mess up centering a champ?

I've played League with the space bar toggleing the camera of and on my champ for years and now there no point to it.There was no reason for this to happen and someone how Riot messed it up and made playing that much more difficult.The camera not being centered on my champs is uncomfortable to play with . I use camera lock to make things easier when I'm playing and all Riot says to me is 'check the menu" . I want my centered champ back rito.
