We laughed at them, I'm a jungle main, I took advantage of every lane possible because the adcs were useless against lethality.

So now its funny to see people complaining about how strong the carries are. (moreso the items for the carries).. These things come in waves.

''adc 2k17'' is jsut that, a meme, it wasn't the truth back then and it hasn't been the truth ever, ADC's have always been strong, even in the lethality meta, it's jsut that, as is befitting of a squishy who builds 0 defensive items, they die just as fast as they dish out damage, but now we got the age of shields

Ryze was so broken he experienced numbers changes practically during his games on PBE. There was also the one rework where he was actually just unbeatable.

adcs were not weak adc 2k17 was a thing because for 2 months they were doing the exact same thing they are doing now

the adc lulz 20k7 was because everyone went bot lane for a party. As the bot lane tower lost the armor bonus it had in the first few minutes and first tower blood was a big objective

but people learned to play around that (as you can see, no longer tons of people bot lane). And riot also buffed the shit out of adcs. So, players getting better at leading with bot lane parties = adc issues fixed Riot buffing adcs = adcs overpowered

sorry mb. I just dont like it when people exaggerate a champions power by that much (even tho twitch is broken).
