Dodging punishment needs work

The low priority queue system is busted. The penalties are too high and it takes too long to decrease your queue times. If a player gets on the low priority queue for dodging or going AFK three or four times fine but at least let them off the queue for not dodging six or eight times afterwords. I mean what does a guy have to do to get off the low priority queue? I went like 15 games without dodging or going AFK + getting honors here and there and then I dodge because I am human and humans get upset and find out that not only am I not off the low priority queue but my wait time was increased. I mean how many accounts have simply been abandoned because of your low priority queue? Thousands? Ten's of thousands?

People are going to get angry and quit. People are going to have to go afk from time to time. Connections will be lost. This is real life, and if you weren't so lazy you could come up with a better system.

For instance, keep your low priority queue but decrease the wait times and allow a person the chance to redeem themselves in a reasonable amount of time. Now implement another in-game polling system that will allow a team to surrender without a loss if someone dodges.. or is AFK for too long or something along those lines. I literally only thought about it for about five seconds and came up with what I believe would be a better system the then current system.

Maybe everyone at Riot is just too eccentric to be able to understand these concepts, fine. Go seek outside help. Ask a therapist how you should go about disciplining the community for doing things that you don't agree with or that the community as a whole does not agree with.

My point is this. Is it annoying to have to create a new account? Yes. Does that mean its not a perfect work around for the low priority queue, NO. You are violating one of the most basic tenets of discipline. You discipline for doing something wrong but you are not rewarding for doing something right. If I can't get off the low priority queue then I am not going to bother trying.

They do indicate that you can get out of low priority queue rather quickly, all you have to do is see 5 games all the way through.

Some rhetorical questions to ask yourself: How frequently do you dodge? What gamemode is it (ranked is a big no-no)?, do you go right back to dodging once you're back into normal queue?

It is common sense that emergencies do happen - people have to leave - disconnecting/ bad internet is also a thing, so going afk once in a while is not going to do much harm. However, if you are leaving games on a daily basis, clearly there's a problem. Once you know your internet is good, you have plenty of time to spare for a game of league, and you are not one to give up and rage quit - then stepping out of low priority queue will be of little effort to you.

If you've done your 5 games and still find yourself in low priority queue, you should probably contact them personally and explore the problem more in-depth.

Maybe just...don't dodge?
