Something that's always bothered me about one of my favorite champions, Ahri
Ahri is a really awesome champion. I like her theme, her abilities, and she's pretty fun to play. Landing that charm feels amazing. She has obviously seen some ups and down with buffs and nerfs, like most other champions.
The thing that bothers me about Ahri is her W. It feels very clunky for a few different reasons. First, and the lesser of the two, sometimes it doesn't do what you want it to (which is generally damage an enemy champion). This is often because of player skill involving the distance between Ahri and the enemy, and I'm fine with that. My main note about her is the way spells are queued up after you cast her w.
I realize by now that you can't cast another spell as you're in the process of casting her W (I assume it's for power level reasons). I'm fine with that, but it seems like there is a window while W is being cast that none of my button presses are queued. I'm not sure if it's a bug or not. As an Ahri player often builds DFG, there are a lot of buttons to press within a very short span of time. If you land a charm, you might be trying to hit E, W, Q, DFG, and Ignite all within a second or so. I know there is a process of queueing up spells on most champions, it just feels a little...off on Ahri. Her W sort of creates a dead zone in the queue timing if that makes sense. I'll often try a full rotation of spells and DFG after landing a charm, have the target get away, and notice that my Q or ignite or DFG aren't on cooldown, even though I clearly remember and know that I've pushed the button for them.
It seems like there could be a little bit of work done with Ahri and her W to fix this. Champions like Syndra, Ryze, and Veigar often press multiple buttons quickly but they feel much more solid than Ahri does about it. Again, I am assuming that's because of the way Ahri's W works, but I can't say for sure.
TL;DR - Ahri's W throws off her spell rotation timing and often leaves abilities that you know you pressed unused.
