Why are mages tankier than bruisers?
It feels like every game mages build items like Liandries and they end up with 3k health and still deal insane damage. Pls nerf

No no, this was clearly the goal with mage itemization. Mages having 600+ AP and 3000+ HP provides balanced, healthy gameplay - there's nothing quite as fun as being towerdived by someone building full damage and still being tankier than you and half your team combined.
Welcome to the future of league of legends. Either become a mage player like Riot wants you to, or forget about playing the game.
Honestly when I play AP bruisers I never feel that durabile because I barely get any resistance items.
3k health and 0 resists "so tanky"
Late game champions are doing 500-1000 DPS. crit ADCs reach more like 1200 DPS.
also things like banshees give more mr than most tank items at 60 mr... where as spirit visage and the other spectres cowl item give 55.
They might be beefy but not tanky. They can still die quicker than straight tanks, it might not seem like it cause they kill so fast.
