Darius rework broke him. in a bad way.

So I used to main play Darius is competitive play, up until patch 5.16. I no longer see him as a viable pick for top lane anymore. Pre 5.16 I used to play him as speed Darius, as fast tanky, bruiser. Since the rework, I've tried multiple different builds from speed, to damage, tank, cdr, hybrids builds, but with no success. Darius doesn't have a great early game anymore, he can no longer bully. instead he has a so called "improved" late game. which make it difficult to get to cause he can't farm early game. In addtion to his ability to bully early game, his farming capability has decrease drastically.
His Q needs to change.

Having his Decimate (Q) Wind up is a huge nerf, causing him to pause his damage for .75 seconds, forcing him to hit the edge of the blade for Hemo purposes, and leaving him vulnerable to attacks and unable to flash while in wind up. Instead he got a crummy 10% missing health heal for sustain purposes.

Having the delay of .75 seconds also makes it harder to get in and out for farming purpose while using a hydra. This is where everything bottlenecks for hims early game. I mean if Riot really wanted to change him, get rid of the heal and make it instant again.

Apprehend- the new apprehend causes them to be pulled and slowed periodically by 90% for 1 second, which isn't really useful cause usually when you pull a champion its followed up by his crippling strike. so instead Darius gets a double slow (which is not needed in most cases). Using his Apprehend with his Decimate is no longer a good combination. the wind ups causes too many issues and its too difficult to hit with the outta edge of his blade Instead apprehend active needs to give him Increase armor/magic resist or increase attack speed/damage and or hemo stack.

When a champion is pulled, they need to be penalized, not rewarded for turning to fight a slow attacking Darius. Since this patch, i found that it's harder to get 5 stacks of hemo on a target, (due to his q changes and his attack speed nerfs) as well as his ability to scrap 1on1. His group fights remains more or less unchanged in my opinion. Transitioning from 1 target with 5 stacks to the next, usually leaves darius with not enough hps to engage a 2nd, furthermore, blood rage only last 5 seconds. With this short duration you yell in all chat for them to group up nice and orderly for you to ult.

With the current changes that cursed Darius, I'm looking for a similar champion to play top lane in competitive plays. Anyways i just wanted to know others suggestion/opinions on the new darius and what they miss if anything about the pre-5.16 darius.

There's more League competitive play than just the LCS, dumbshit. My Silver friend does competitive play, its tournaments for League. I assume if a Silver can do it and do good, a Platinum can.

It is competitive.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/competition http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/competitive http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/compete http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/competitor

to strive to outdo another for acknowledgment, a prize, supremacy, profit, etc.; engage in a contest; vie a contest for some prize, honor, or advantage a person, team, company, etc., that competes; rival.

He is competitive and so is elementary basketball, as well as League Tournaments. Just because its not the LCS or the NBA doesn't mean its not competitive.

Lol, somebody's butthurt. I gave you viable proof that he is in fact competitive and you reply with a troll post assuming I'm raging. Is it impossible for someone on the Internet to have an actual conversation/argument without someone raging anymore? Heck, ever. I've had maybe 5 good, decent arguments since I started using the Internet... its really sad. And you aren't helping matters. Straighten up and don't act like a douchebag. -_-

How am I raging? ;-; The only thing I even complained about was your social skills. And that was called ranting, not raging. Good job changing the subject though, you've only shown how incompetent you are.

Definition of Rant:

a spell of ranting; a tirade.

speak or shout at length in a wild, impassioned way.

If you weren't a troll you would take the time to look that up. ... Idk why its fun to respond to trolls just to see how they react. lol

The E is disgusting. It means you can get two autos in while they are slowed following up with your W meaning you have 3 stacks on them right there, and since they are slowed the 4th comes easy as well. Hit a single Q before that combo and you get 5 stacks. His early game is still nuts because he has WAY more stick power.

The new darius is better then the old one I know it doesn't feel like it at first as I thought the same thing when I first tried him. You just need to relearn him and how to properly use the Q. The Q is stronger then ever as it now gives you the sustain that you need in lane and teamfights.

Darius is fixed with this rework. His power was transferred from early game pubstompage to late game usefulness/damage. The changes to his ultimate and his Noxian Might passive means he can easily decimate an entire team that gets caught out after he deletes their caries.

The fact that he gets a heal scaling off of 15% of his missing health means that he can quite easily sustain in a 1v2 i.e. when the jungler comes to gank. Unless your playing against a range champion, which is one of your hard counters, then it is quite easy to proc a surprising heal off of 30% of your missing health, which is a fuck ton especially when you've got health already in your kit, like a Giant's Belt. This addition allows him to be useful at surviving poke compositions. Couple this heal with his epic slows, you get a strong CC source from a high true damage dealing champion that will delete you if you don't get away ASAP.

Darius is fixed not broken anymore.
