Too many characters not getting played and need rework.

Ok guys...

I started playing League back in 2010 and have been playing semi-serious since. I love the game and the option to casually play but also be serious at times with ranked games... So getting to the point, My example (and beloved champion) I am most upset about is Talon. when Talon was first released I fell in love with the toon. It was the first real character that complicated my play style and transcended the game for me. I knew him backwards and forwards, early - mid - late game dynamics and builds. At the time I did think that he was a little too strong bc he could take down almost all assassins and 100% of mages but since the loss of silence he has just been a shadow of what he used to be. My arguments are below.

  1. Silence was incredibly quick to begin with.
  2. He fell off late game really bad.
  3. Always was squish, even though he could blow people up with a combo he in return could get one shot.
  4. Long cut throat cool down.

There is no real reason to play him anymore... pretty much have to save ult for an escape 80% of the time, and with the zhonya's to boot, by mid game mages can counter his combo really easy. I mean, why would you play as him when you have Zed who has amazing escapes and does almost just as much damage? With talon all you can do really is jump in, pray your combo gets the kill, or get lit up in return. I can't be the only one here who thinks Talon needs some changes and i wish Riot would do something about him (also a few more champs) that would make the toons more competitive than spitting more characters out.

My example is long, but I know a lot of you out there feel the same way about your previous played characters. I hope this post gets some attention because far too many characters are not being played enough.

Be careful what you wish for. As proven by Sona, the word "rework" is code for "complete gutting and destruction of character."

Rule #1 of LoL: NEVER trust Riot or their employees.

Rule #7: Don't chase Singed.

And Skarner, shudder.

But hey at least Yi's and Sion's are nice.

Or maybe the reason why not many are played on a daily basis is due to a selected little portion of the character roster being too oppressive on the rest of the game and they're the actual ones who need reworks?

To expand on this

A large portion of champions in each role are extremely similar to each other, making a tendency for there to be one or two of them to essentially be a better version of the others

The only really good rework from Riot was Sion.

I actually think Talon is pretty good. The problem is, champs like Zed and Leblanc are too much better at everything for there to be a reason to pick champs like Talon.

Tl;dr: "Weak" champs aren't the problem, rito's favorites are.

Hm. Rule #2 of League, if you're going even in an all out trade with kayle, run.
