Banning champions

This is probably posted somewhere else but i couldn't find it so I'll make it.

So with 131 Champions to choose from (Taliyah is on her way so I'm including her to the champ pool) why are we still only able to ban 6 of them? The small group that I play League with are all questioning this and I know a chunk of the community are also asking this as well but being able to only ban 6 champs just isn't going to cut it for any longer. Increasing the ban limit to 8 total champs or even 10 total champs banned would be fine at least that what I think. What does everyone else think about this?
