I Give Up On Ranked

So before I get into this I gota say I main support. I've been plaing ranked and every time i get to my promos i losse them becuase of stupid people. (OH wow another noob blaming his team) By Stupid people i mean:

  • Intentional Feeders
  • AFK'ers
  • Rage Quitters

My last 3 promoss this hass happened. 2 games in each series where someone went AFK or Rage Quit or just started walking into enemy turrets. If I can hold my own and carry my ADC and make it to promos as many times as I have aand considering I play normal games with friendss ranked between gold and master and i can hold m own there then how have I not moved at least into silver 5...

I just give up on trying to get even silver. the last 2 seasons i've tried to get it and the same crap happens all the time. Played a ranked lasst night, 20 Mins into the game our ADC takes red buff(Kay so what?) Then goess to golem camp and takess that *k and?) and then our Vi goess VI: "WTF Why you take my jg? AFK" Trist: "?" A Summoner Has Disconnected Trist:"WTF?" Ahri: "Lolnexus says hess in his promos..." Trist: "And you act like that?" -Couple Minute Interlude- A Summoner Has Reconnected Vi: "So don't take my jg or I AFK" Trist: "We were 20 mins in thats normal..." Vi: *Runs down mid tries to 1 V 3... Ded. Ahri: "Dude your in your promos why are yoyu doing this?" Vi: "What ever I'll win the next game" Vi: Runs down mid into turret

I haven't been Bronze since Season 2, but I was Silver 5 after placements this season. These people exist, but you learn to be patient with Ranked and just keep grinding. I know I have. Treat Ranked like any other normal game. People will troll; people will complain. They're emotional and stupid. Carry their asses kicking and screaming across the finish line. Just know that it may take a while to reach your goal. It won't necessarily happen overnight at lower elos unless you play carry roles that influence the game better.

Honestly, I always find myself failing to climb when maining a support in Bronze. As a support main in normals, it sucks, but sometimes you just have to take a more carry role in the lower Elo Ranked games. Some Supports can make a good AP carry in mid and top lane like Lulu, Morg, and Karma. Good luck!

I also support main so I can understand your pain. I'm only Silver 1 so not amazing, but I'd recommend picking a support who has at least some potential to carry, make picks, or tank, depending on what your team needs -- good carry supports include Morgana, Lux, Vel'Koz/Brand/Annie (for more of a kill lane), good pick supports are Thresh, Blitz, Nautilus, to some extent Leona or Bard... It also depends on who your ADC is. If they're weak early game, you want a babysitter not a roamer. If they're a lane bully, you might want poke or lockdown.

Have all 3 of your wards on the map whenever possible, but make sure to ward safely so you don't get caught out -- and also grab a sweeper as soon as you get Sightstone, as it makes the green trinket redundant. Vision absolutely wins games. Exhaust/CC the ADC or assassin, rather than the support. Try to be aware of dragon timer and make sure it's warded while it's up. Ping MIAs.

Did not matter which role I took... everyone just four-man-surrendered for the first 50 matches of Ranked this season. Good god that was awful from which point I ended up just queue-dodging over 150 times in order to be able to have a chance at possibly climbing out of being demoted into Bronze (something which happened TWICE this season mind you). Show me how to carry against 50 matches in a row of your whole entire team surrendering Four-Man Vote-Yes THEN I might believe that there is no Elo-Hell.

you're a support main but you've never read a build guide? They all say after you get sightstone to get a sweeper.
