Shaco Nerfs

I am beyond appalled at what Riot has done to Shaco. I have been playing him for probably around a year now and have loved him since the first time i saw him at level 10. This is ridiculous. Shaco has been nerfed into the ground. I feel hes in such a bad spot hes pretty much Urgot. I fell in love with Shaco because of the mind games he plays on the enemies and because hes so unique and there is no other champion like him. But there is one more reason, he is extremely flexible in his play style and in his versatility with his builds. I understand he is a very difficult champion to balance because of it but DO NOT take away his damage on his Q and act like his fine. DO NOT make a champion like Shaco restricted to only one build and especially DO NOT make an ASSASSIN a TANK. Because the way hes being played is not how I and many others want to play him. I DO NOT play Shaco to play tank. I play Shaco because he is an ASSASSIN. But this, what Riot has done to Shaco is unacceptable.

Shaco's Q is what gave him damage it was his burst so removing that makes Shaco a joke. Why you ask? Because now, you cant max E like S6 Shaco, oh no, they had to nerf the Q invisibility for Shaco. "To nerf his early game" (Its not like Shaco is meant to be an assassin or anything, you know early and mid game champs) So now you have to max Q just to be able to do anything (Gank/Invade/Outplay) But then you have no damage because it was removed. See where im going with this? It is a never ending vicious cycle and its pathetic. It all started with a little assassin rework that only did more harm than good.

Now what do I ask for? I ask for support from our community, we shouldn't lay down and allow this to happen. I ask for an answer for Riot as to why this is acceptable to them. I ask for my Q back because this is such a core part of Shaco's damage.

Like lets be real Riot this is ridiculous Shaco has a higher win rate late game than early. Really?! Is that really okay?!

P.S. It has been insanely hard not to curse at every turn some how i made it.

Shaco is still plenty viable in bruiser builds. It's still a heck of a lot of fun also. If you can't be flexible with how you play champions then this game may not be the one for you. Not to be a jerk, but they rework champions all the time for balance reasons. When I look back at S1/S2 and now at champions, very few are the same or even similar (and those champions btw are in line for reworks). Shaco will have more time as an assassin, but if you truly love playing Shaco then be flexible and adapt with the current game, his kit, and the items available to best serve your team. As Shaco you are a ridiculously strong split pusher right now also...

I get that trust me I do but the main issue here is he is an assassin. When an assassin can not be played as an assassin there is an issue. Taking away Shaco's Q damage is like taking away Talon's 3 hit passive it doesn't make any sense because its the bulk of his damage. So what can you do to compensate? Build him tank/bruiser in order to be some what viable in the game. Then and only then you might be able to 1 v 1 the enemy adc because you have a Randuin's some CDR and you might be able to out damage him by using on hit effect items.

Overall it isn't just Shaco. Riot has done this to a lot of assassins and yet they think it is okay. I understand reducing the window in which assassins can assassinate so it isnt instant but lets be real here an assassin is meant to kill a single target and good at doing it. What they are doing to Shaco is essentially making him a tanky melee ADC.

It doesn't matter how much you reduce his numbers. His kit offers no counterplay whatsoever. You can't dodge the slow, and he can place boxes that fear you while stealthed. And, like all assassins, he has a ton of safety in his kit. His 'q' allows him to dodge skillshots, hop over walls, and gives him stealth. He can also run to his fear boxes for safety if he ever gets caught. And if he really fcks up he can just have the clone tank everything for him. Fck Shaco. He needs to be nerfed more. His last round of nerfs did barely anything.

I understand how you feel but there are many counters to his kit and the easiest one is a red trinket. Any one can get it and it shows you where he is going. It also reveals his boxes which can also be done with a pink ward (yeah I still call it that.) Regarding his boxes while he is invisible just by him placing them it tells you he is around so it isnt all that good to do if you are sneaking up. Also his q is on a long cool down so he cant spam that. His boxes require good placement and can be one shot by many champs late making them useless. So over all Shaco's kit has counter play from items this isnt even champions.

Lee Sin: His Q reveals Shaco during stealth

Ryze: Point Click Snare, can one shot boxes.

Pantheon: Point Click Stun

Warwick: LIfe steal, Ulti, Fear.

Dashes/Flash/Slows/Stuns/Snares

PRETTY MUCH ANY LATE GAME CHAMPION

I'm so sick of people using vision as an excuse for broken champions. Shaco has ZERO counterplay and needs more nerfs! PERIOD.

I just believe you arnt adjusting your builds appropriately for Shaco which is why you probably keep losing when fighting against him. What do I know though I only main the champion and consistently get caught because of these items whenever they are used against me.

Let me tell you a secret though, vision is probably one of the most powerful elements in this game. Vision allows you to catch out enemies, know where enemies are, know when and when not to fight and a lot more. If you implement vision into your game play I guarantee you will win more games.

Shaco DOES NOT have escape. He starts ganks with his q. And why in the world would you chase him without trinkets if you know he has boxes nearby? With old Shaco at least you could burst him down. Now with those nerfs you see bruiser Shaco every game. OP is asking to remove tanky Shaco that is even bigger pain in neck and bring back glass cannon build. Instead of understanding what he wrote you just blindly cried as always people do about Shaco. People like you are the reason this cancer build is what you see in every Shaco game today. Enjoy it and cry more about his kit instead of abused build.

Well you got most of it right and I do appreciate your input but its more than that. When I first started playing Shaco in S6 I used to play the bruiser build. I loved it because it gave him some burst but also mad it so that he could survive a bit longer. But the difference was if I felt as though assassin Shaco was a better choice that game I could play him.

In S6 Shaco there were more options, again the thing I loved about him was how versatile he was but now you are forced to play Triforce Shaco because it is the only option. I do understand that because of how many builds Shaco can have it is hard to balance him. But there must be a middle ground some where and restricting Shaco to only being a tank or a bruiser because he can't burst as every other assassin can even if he tried just plain, sucks.

Regarding the build yes I do agree that was probably what resulted in his nerf and yes because of it they nerfed his kit but to elaborate more, something did have to be done about it but removing all of his damage can't be the right approach here there has to be something else that can be done.

True I just hope they get around to it as soon as they can. But, lets be real... Urgot xD. So they prob wont get around to it for another year or more.

Riot , i have 400+ games on shaco . i do not want to curse but you really need to either bring back assasin shaco . cmon really or just change the recommended items to bruiser items and replace the role of shaco ( in his description) from assassin to bruiser or tank , its because you literally have done way better job than a blind guy in trying to fix his kit. i literally being an assasin cannot even 1v1 enemy jungler (from aatrox to ziggs )when i invade , even with a level advantage . so yeah u really need to hire some new people .

I agree he has been a solid champion through out the whole season which I have very much enjoyed, but for me it isn't whether he is first or last at in the pickrate/winrate charts but to me its just let him do what he is supposed to be able to do. Assassinate. I have been struggling to be able to build him in a way where he can do that again and having to struggle to make a champion fulfill his role should not be okay by any standards.

I am still Maining AP shaco top and I can still make it work by doing the most high risk bat shit crazy plays, but thats just the thing. His skill cap ceiling is getting smaller and smaller as enemies have a lot more items to build to counteract shaco's tricks. At first AP Shaco's main foe was a tank/bruiser cause they outscale your damage no matter how fed you get. You think doing a box/E/stab combo is that easy against a tanky/bruiser kit when your a glass cannon without the cannon part? They will take anything you dish out mid-late game and destroy you if you dont have your Q with 45% cd reduction. Now with this new patch (which are all indirect nerfs to shaco lol) all AD champs need to do is get guardian angels, mages get s banshee's veil, tanky/bruiser builds Adaptive Helm so boxes really do no damage and gg shaco's usless. Shaco cant sustain in lane and cannot out cs enemies unless he gives up his main damage (boxes) so yea its really is an annoying champ to play right now.

Look up my match histories as Shaco, sure I can get the kills but at the cost of CS (because I use boxes for my opponents and any jg ganking so i have an escape) then I get outscaled mid-late game even when fed. Same goes for the opposite if I focus on cs I get outscaled, because I couldn't harrass/kill my oponent to prevent them from getting cs and I still lose. Even in Teamfights Shaco can only poke with E without dieing in less than a second as well as his clone dieing in .5 secs not being any help. I only manage win because I literally have to punch through the skill ceiling with adrenaline pumping in every fight not to make 1 mistake or its gg. That is not fun at all

having fun with it. Probably shitty cus expensive but i like it. i do have pretty decent success with it but i only playn ormals
