Lost a promos and got 54 LP removed?

So I just lost my promos to Gold (unlucky) and to my surprise I'm now Silver 1 with 46 League Points?? Really?? Was this a mistake or the system is just this absurd??

You aren't the only one to experience this issue, my friend and I lost our promo's and we dropped from 100 to a mere 20. It seems like they raised the LP drop from losing promo's this patch an didn't mention it in the notes. Either that or its a bug.

I don't think any promo loss should result in LP loss. It's already been stated Promo matches are slightly weighted so the player 'proves' themselves so punishing them for a loss doesn't seem wise. 20 LP at most I would say.

Did you go X, X, X ? 0-3 When you enter promos, you still gain and lose LP. So if you lose 3 in a row, that is the equivalent of losing 3 games (for me it would be about 51LP). On top of that the level of your prepromo LP matters, if you were at 99 and then got + 20 then you will obviously drop less than someone who was at 80 + 20 and just skirted into promos.

If you honestly dropped from 100 to 20, you must be dinged in MMR, got a disconnect you didn't realized, or are over exaggerating.
