Starting up Leagues again. Haven't played since March 2015

I was just wondering if there are any major changes to the game play mechanics from a year ago. I know that there have been changes made, but wasn't sure if they affected the game in a huge way. Any information is greatly appreciated. Regards.

No Stay away, the game is in ruined thanks to dynamic ranked and you now get 5 man every game as a solo player

what if I play a few solo (unranked) to get used to it again and then just play with a group of 4 others for team ranked? Lol I played from the very beginning of this game but didn't like the changes a year ago. But after watching it again recently it's sparked my interest.

Dynamic Queue and new champ select
Potentially new masteries? Can't remember when masteries were changed and Keystones were added.
New Dragons. I.e fire,mountain,ocean,wind? Each with its own unique benefit. Around 35 mins or so Elder drag spawns.
Rift herald buff now last 20 mins.
Champion reworks, I.E. Taric, Poppy? ummm few others.
New Champions.
Adc item changes and mage item changes. Along with changes to heroes such as corki, caitlyn, graves, etc. Same with 6 or so mages.
I am sure there is lots of other stuff. Jungle is a lot differen't than it was over a year ago. I can't give you a good example though.

Lots changed. Prepare to relearn a lot.
