Is Kennen getting a Buff or a Rework Anytime soon?

I really love Kennen but at the moment even with the best choice of runes he seems so... bad, He gets squashed by every other layer and just can't compete with the Tankyness/High dmg that most other laners tend to offer. Kennens Mobility and average damage helps him a lot during the early game but ends up getting weak throughout the rest of the game I myself have tried numerous builds and strategies to try and overcome this but nothing seems to work when every other laner is just overall better so do you think we will get a buff or rework? or has riot forgotten about this lil guy?.
