Lee vs Yi - How do you explain this?

lee v yi - Postimage.org

According to champion.gg, Lee Sin win rates fall as player experience rises past 200 games. Yet with Master Yi, win rates continue to rise with champion experience. These graphs directly indicate that Yi requires more experience than Lee Sin to reach his maximum potential. These graph imply that Master Yi is a higher skill cap champion than Lee Sin. I actually agree, but it is ironic because everyone always makes fun of Yi for being a "right-clicking" champion. His kit simply emphasizes, and rewards, macro level play, much moreso than Lee Sin.

Because the graphs have been busted on champion.gg for a very long time now. Notice how nobody even uses that site anymore

It's because you only become more safe learning Master Yi Q, where as in low Elo he kills himself with it as a gap closer and in high elo he's using it as a zhoyna tower control.

Meanwhile, as soon as Lee See is good enough, he's dying under tower Insecing everyone instead of just Qing people down that are over extended safely.

the yi players drop in elo facing worse enemies while the lee players rise and face better enemies :^)

The small pool of skill expression Yi has is difficult to perform in stressed circumstances while being dependent on the enemy most of the time, whereas the major skill expression Lee Sin performs are not terribly difficult and are almost all self containing.

So, technically yes. Master Yi has a higher skill cap, but Lee has higher skill expression.

But also, Yi is a scaling champion so even if he performs half of his theoretical skill cap, it is twice as useful as Lee Sins skill cap at that point in time because of stats and use for a fight. You will find that their win rate by time are opposites. Lee Sin ramps down from very high and Yi skyrockets from rather low.

Taking that into account, skill expression is a higher skill cap because it cannot be compared whether the high impact low expression outplay is more skillful than the medium impact high expression outplay.

200 games doesn't happen in 1 meta probably, lee was much stronger before the ardent meta hit, now his mains are in a higher rank than they should be in the current meta, while yi was bad in the aggressive early game that we had earlier this year, so his mains are in a lower rank than the current meta allows them to be,
