Just some personal opinions from my perspective of playing
Patch 8.11 is being a quite interesting patch for me. I don't really enjoy a lot of the things that has come out recently, but I do understand some logic of why riot is doing what they are doing. Although, I don't really feel like the change in critical is really enough. I really enjoyed the reign of tanks, and when they seem to be really tanky and then season 8 hit and tanks didn't seem to do much in my opinion. The beginning of season 8 was so snowball that if you tanked it didn't seem to matter, because the rest of the team could go through you like butter. Things have changed though since then, but with this new critical change, I feel like tanks have a bit to much pressure in game. Infinity edge with true damage conversion is great and all, but it doesn't feel like I am able to go through a health bar in a positive way. For some reason I get played not being able to reach the ADC with the tank being tanky enough to survive for way to long, even with new

I feel like ADC's were way to snowbally, and in a somewhat similar feeling they still are. Although this is true, with the new critical changes, I don't feel like I'm getting a good enough early damage in return. I saw in the patch they decreased this and in turn, increased the ratio. But with
, you HAVE to take time in building enough damage to actually get something very much accomplished.
I want to just mention that I was never a fan of lethality. I understand that yes it probably really is better than critical in most cases, but honestly I enjoy playing with critical more than lethality. I feel like although, because early game is so rotten, you have to build lethality or else its very hard to compete. This seems very true with champions who are very strong early game. There is no ability to compete when they are so strong early game and you have a mid-game spiking champion. Because the changes have affected critical, the person with mid-game, will do much less than early game champion. Unless the mid-game champion builds lethality, he has already lost to early game, and cannot come back in time.
TO SUMMARIZE:
- Critical doesn't feel strong enough for most champions now (especially early game)
- true damage isn't coming out well enough against tanks
- Mid-game champions are feeling left out.
I just want to say that I really enjoyed the old essence reaver, and the old dominiks regard, and the old infinity edge. I also want to say I very much enjoy stormrazor and I think it has a good fit for a new item. I really wish they didn't get rid of giant slayer, its really hard to kill tanks unless you have lethality.
