Master Yi bug on startup

I am wondering if anyone else has had a problem with using abilities at the very beginning of the game as Master Yi? twice I have played him into the jungle. I bought the 3 suggested starting items, and began to play. I quickly realized that I could type to my team mates, but I could not use any abilities. I went into the settings and tried all different combinations of key bindings, to no avail. I eventually had to leave the game, close out of the client, restart, and then I could use abilities. However, after I did this, my mouse no longer indicated when the wards would go into the bush, nor would it change when I used abilities. I had played a game as fiddlesticks jungle moments before, and had no problems. I had this issue with Master Yi yesterday after playing a no problems game as Amumu jungle. I played all of these games in SOLO QUE RANKED.
